  1. I remember when the Browns drafted 28 year old Brandon Weeden in the 1st. Wasn't top 15 though. I agree it'd be pretty nuts. I sure hope it happens though lol.
  2. I don't think it's that much worse than a lot of the other garbage picks that have happened over the years at QB (Locker, Ponder, Weeden, etc). Would be a huge shock. Hope it happens. Love those out of nowhere picks that shake up the draft. It's boring when it's predictable.
  3. Perhaps that Saints tweet from Ricky was about Shough. That would definitely be a shocker. Hope the camera pans to Deion's face when the NO pick is made.
  4. The Steelers? Maybe they look at a guy his size with some movement skills and think Big Ben.
  5. I just don't see the appeal of Sanders. It's average at best physical tools. Then you add the makeup/intangibles questions + Deion and it's just not that appealing. There have been successful QB who had ok physical tools. But guys like Brees and Peyton made up for it because they were ELITE in the pocket, had elite accuracy, and had that competitive fire to be the best and work on their craft. I just don't think it's very likely Sanders can be all that.
  6. Character concerns is such a vague term. For every Wilson there's a Simmons. These are kids still. Some of them just make mistakes. You'd be writing off a lot of good players who had "character concerns" Personally, I'm willing to tolerate more of a "diva" if the guy plays hard and gives a shit about winning. It's the ones who don't care and have major concerns that you don't want.
  7. I think we're just going to have a pick a WR at 35 if we want one. I think the WR run is going to start in that late 1st-early 2nd. That's the downside of trading down. Yes, it's nice to get more picks, but you also risk trading too far down and having a run happen right in front of you.
  8. Chris Simms on one of the podcasts said teams generally draft for need but will call it BPA in public. Likely what Borgonzi is doing. I expect the pick to be WR or EDGE with it leaning towards WR.
  9. Have a feeling all the 2nd tier EDGE guys (Stewart, Green, Williams, Pearce, Walker, etc) are going to be gone by 35. We're likely taking a WR, either at 35, or trade down. Likely someone out of the Burden, Higgins, Noel, Williams group (I expect Egbuka to be gone by 35).
  10. He'll be vetted. I think it's easy to label a guy as a diva WR, but there's different levels to it. If he's George Pickens or the WR equivalent of Panda Wilson absolutely not. If it's a guy who gets mad because he's not getting the ball enough, that doesn't bother me. What's worse is a guy who doesn't give a shit.
  11. FWIW, Burden's HC defended him pretty hard. https://www.si.com/college/missouri/football/eli-drinkwitz-defends-luther-burden-over-alleged-pre-draft-character-concerns-01jqsg40w7x9
  12. Makes more sense than trading AJ Brown did. Simmons is older than Brown was. This team is in rebuild. The AJ trade was right after the Titans were the #1 seed. I'm not openly campaigning for Simmons to be traded, but I'm open to it depending on what the comp is. If it's only a 2 or 3, it's better to keep Simmons.
  13. It's the worst kept secret in the draft. Think it's funny how he's joking about it.
  14. If Dart and Sanders go in round 1, I think someone could get antsy and try to make a move for Shough/Milroe.
  15. I hope one of the 2nd tier QB is still there at 35. Could be a great opportunity for a trade down.
  16. Agreed. Would have no problem taking him if he's there at 35 though I'm skeptical he'll slip that far. Guys with his skillset tend to translate well and you have to like the track record of OSU WR. Clean off the field. Not super duper high ceiling. It's pretty unlikely he becomes elite like Chase and Justin Jefferson, but a pretty high floor of a good #2 WR imo who plays 10+ years in the NFL.
  17. It'd be a big upgrade to get him or Goedert (possible cap casualty). Nice thing is TE tend to play well even when they get into their 30s. Zach Ertz is still productive even though he's not in his prime. Kelce fell off the cliff this season but was still elite up until his age 34 season. George Kittle is 31 and still a top 5 TE. Delanie's peak production years were his age 29-33 seasons. Andrews is 29 (turns 30 in Sep). He can easily play 3-4 seasons at a good level.
  18. Andrews has been a good player in the league. The playoff choke will hover over him for awhile, but it shouldn't take away that he's been a pretty productive TE in his career. I'd gladly add him.
  19. It's the worst kept secret in the league going into the draft. I think it's funny being that on the nose. We all know at this point.
  20. Until he suffers his first major injury because of overuse. It sounds good in theory, but I doubt he'll hold up physically in the NFL doing that. Even Ohtani, billed as a two-way player, is mostly just a hitter at this point. And football is way more physical and Hunter is much smaller.
  21. Of course. Every HC all of a sudden looks better when they have the right QB
