Have expectations changed?

Yea, apparently Oman and some posters are reading more into this, pinning it as some sort of koolaid drinking fan over-reaction. But those same posters have a conveniently short memory.

This board was full of doom and gloom pessimism at the end of last year. People were hell-bent that this team would be 10 time worse off without Fisher. We had no QB, Oman himself arguing in favor of KC as our best option. The lockout was an awful situation for Munchak and the new regime. And Bud supposedly botched the entire coaching hiring process.

Now I'm willing to bet that many of those same posters who predicted us in the a Luck sweepstakes are expecting closer to a season 6-10 season. It has nothing to do with the scoreboard or Locker's TD pass. It's seeing glimpses of the changed philosophy, FA and rookies additions, switch in attitude/accountability, and the chance of having a future franchise QB.

It's not like I said we are gonna be contenders. I'm commenting on the obvious change in attitude from the majority of posters.

Perhaps my optimism is premature, but I expect at least 8-8 out of this team, and wouldn't be surprised to see 10-6 or better. Would be reeeeeeally disappointed with a losing record; would feel we underperformed.

Definitely a glass-half-full kinda fan, I suppose.

I'm with this, disciplined and scrappy teams should at least break even, and typically ought to make the wildcard. The line of scrimmage is night and day with a decent QB in the game.

Both QBs fumbled snaps, they missed an easy FG, Stewart jumped offsides on the very first play, Damien Williams dropped a wide open pass right in his hands, the team fumbled 3 times, the starting offense scored 0 points. The team had 5 penalties for 40 yds.

Last season's preseason opener the starting offense scored a TD and the starting defense held the offense to 0 points. They had 6 penalties for 35yds and fumbled 2 times.

Neither thing means a damn thing. I never thought the Titans would contend for the worst draft pick.

I've already said Gray is a huge upgrade over Cecil and the rest of the staff ain't that much different and a lot of the exact same coaches.

You're seeing what you wanna see.

Lmao... If you came into this game thinking that we were a 10-6 team then Im sure you might be facing some depression. But if you were like me, and realized that this team is very untalented and every game is a real chance to lose then you were mentally braced for what occured today.

I said all through the preseason all the Fisher haters were setting Munchak up with all this kooliad drinking homerism.

If this game was dropped right into last season no one would know Munchak was the head coach or Cecil was not the DC.

The team lacked talent last season and still lack talent. If Bill Belichik was the HC they would still suck
