Jamalisms
A Titans' free agent safety made an appearance on the NFL's Top 100. Where did he debut? When the Titans came into the offseason, safety was considered a big need. After signing George Wilson of the Buffalo Bills to a two-year deal, the Titans pursued and landed Bernard Pollard from the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens. These two additions look to play big roles in the secondary and improve a defense that gave up an NFL worst, (and franchise record), number of points in 2012. As the NFL counted down from 100 this week, one of the new safeties (Pollard) made his debut on the list at number eighty-seven. He was the leading tackler for the Ravens last year despite missing three games and playing with broken ribs. Big hitting and brash, Pollard is projected to make a big impact and provide an attitude that the Titans have lacked. On his fourth team in eight years, Pollard appears anxious to leave the rumors of mutiny and being a locker room problem behind. If he does, it will be a bonus to the Titans defense, albeit a temporary one. Perhaps because of the mutiny rumors or the somewhat depressed free agent market of 2013, Pollard only signed a one-year deal with Tennessee. If he has a good year, he'll look to cash-in in 2014. The future is a mixed bag of the promise an impact player will provide and the loss of that same impact player a year later. Omar
I think the defense will be better just by Pollard bringing an attitude and some nastiness...something this defense desperately needs. This was a very good pickup imo... Justafan
N/A
I read a report that Gregg WIlliams and Pollard are sharing a place. Gregg Williams told a reporter that way all the bounty money stays in house. Edited May 3, 2013 by 9_nines

wtenn
Nothing against Pollard, but this list seems a little overboard with members of last year's Ravens. Dennis Pitta and Jacoby Jones. Really?

luvyablue256
Just the simple fact that we have a guy associated with the current roster on this show tells me we're finally going in the right direction. Now FIX THE PASS RUSH.

This was a very good pickup imo... i do too. you have to take the good with the bad. he has some negatives but he also brings a number of positives. he's a GW type SS all the way. and our D needs some nasty and some toughness. headhunter
I think out of all of the free agents Pollard will have the biggest impact. We've sucked against the run for years now, Pollard is a guy that can actually tackle and lay the big hit something we havent on defense in over a decade. Oiler FANatic
If CJ remains in the top 100, then the Titans will have two players on the list. Maybe if we get better this year there might actually be three on it next year, which would still be average.

Justafan
I can see a scenario where locker, warmack, CJ, britt, hunter, levitre, Roos, pollard, Morgan, and McCarthy all make the list. ...yea right.
