Peyton Manning

Is anyone else pained by watching Peyton Manning and thinking what could have been had he signed with the Titans?

For the record I think that the Titans are better off in the long-run with Manning in Denver but IMO they could have been a serious contender this year.

While a while back I posted that Manning had clearly lost something I was clearly wrong and Manning is back to being a top 2-3 QB in this league.

Denver winning the SB would be hard to take as a Titans fan.

Remember the retards arguing the Titans had a better defense than the Broncos?

I hate it but Manning is back to elite. I think he has lost arm strength but he anticipates the throws so well he can get around it.

LOL @ the retards who didnt even see the value of pursuing Manning.

We offered more money than anyone, yet Manning never really entertained coming here. Munchak is on record admitting the Manning pursuit kept us from signing other FAs, which might have helped our OL/DL problems.

More importantly, he is the enemy and winning with Manning as QB would have been dirty and unsatisfying.

Manning was smart in not picking the Titans. He came and heard the pitch we gave, but ultimately realized after talking with our coaches and front office that they had no clue what they were doing and decided to go elsewhere. That is VERY telling of the ownership, front office, and coaching of the Titans. Manning knew he wouldn't be in a position to succeed with how the offense would be called, to how the defense would be played. Give him credit... I can't stand the guy but he turned down more money and the opportunity of being worshipped as football god in Tennessee for the rest of his life (as if he already wasn't) because he knew it was a bad situation.
