scine09
Is anyone else pained by watching Peyton Manning and thinking what could have been had he signed with the Titans? For the record I think that the Titans are better off in the long-run with Manning in Denver but IMO they could have been a serious contender this year. While a while back I posted that Manning had clearly lost something I was clearly wrong and Manning is back to being a top 2-3 QB in this league. Denver winning the SB would be hard to take as a Titans fan.
amyinsparta
No. Just because he's doing well in Denver doesn't mean he would do well here. Besides, had Bud won him over, we wouldn't have any good players coming anyhow because Bud would have spent all he was going to spend on Peyton. Number9
I still just have not seen our defense play anywhere near the level of Denver's defense.
OILERMAN
Remember the retards arguing the Titans had a better defense than the Broncos? I hate it but Manning is back to elite. I think he has lost arm strength but he anticipates the throws so well he can get around it.
abenjami
Denver was a very good team last year, they just had a glaring hole at QB.
Stan
I knew MAnning could still play. Imagined him on the Titans, we'd be at least 5-3 or 6-2 at the most. Manning doesn't lose home games to anybody.
TampaTitan
Let him play at LP, where this IS no homefield advantage.
rhonderoo
I'm pretty sure he is glad he isn't playing with this Junior Varsity FO. We are beginning to own the word, "Suck".
reo
I'm actually hoping Denver wins the SB this year, assuming the Titans won't which is a pretty safe assumption even if I'll still keep an optimistic eye on the playoff race.
CMJ
LOL @ the retards who didnt even see the value of pursuing Manning.
OILERMAN
LOL @ the retards who didnt even see the value of pursuing Manning. Manning wasn't signing with this owner, head coach and defense
cenj
LOL @ the retards who didnt even see the value of pursuing Manning. We offered more money than anyone, yet Manning never really entertained coming here. Munchak is on record admitting the Manning pursuit kept us from signing other FAs, which might have helped our OL/DL problems. More importantly, he is the enemy and winning with Manning as QB would have been dirty and unsatisfying.
Stan
Winning with Manning would have been sweet and satisfying. I think if not for Manning playing in our division he wouldn't have been as hated by Titan fans.
Legaltitan
I think if not for Manning playing in our division he wouldn't have been as hated by Titan fans. I can't claim to speak for everyone, and I'm sure alot of EuTee homers would agree with you, but I would have hated every minute of it.
LegolElf
Manning was smart in not picking the Titans. He came and heard the pitch we gave, but ultimately realized after talking with our coaches and front office that they had no clue what they were doing and decided to go elsewhere. That is VERY telling of the ownership, front office, and coaching of the Titans. Manning knew he wouldn't be in a position to succeed with how the offense would be called, to how the defense would be played. Give him credit... I can't stand the guy but he turned down more money and the opportunity of being worshipped as football god in Tennessee for the rest of his life (as if he already wasn't) because he knew it was a bad situation.
