reo
If he gets a full half, it's over. Locker is the starter.
CMJ
Locker needs to light it up. A TD drive at least.
Titansfan920
Locker needs to light it up. A TD drive at least. It'd be amazing how much easier a drive could get if Chris Butterfingers Johnson could catch a fucking ball.
Dmeade-
And even that bonehead play wasn't that boneheaded. It was a wobbly ass punt pass. It was a dumbass play into double coverage by the time the ball finally got there.
wiscotitansfan
Locker needs to light it up. A TD drive at least. I don't know what my expectations are but he needs at least 2 to secure his spot. I feel he would need a TD drive against starters and then another TD drive against 2nd string would secure him the week 3 in preseason and realistically regular season starter. NashvilleNinja
You guys are serious with this "he needs at least a touchdown secure the job" stuff? Knowing the plays, executing them, not making boneheaded mistakes, being poised in the pocket, knowing when to run when the play breaks down... all that stuff doesn't secure it? Knowing the plays, executing them, not making boneheaded mistakes, being poised in the pocket, knowing when to run when the play breaks down... all that stuff doesn't secure it? Exactly. Locker is not going to win the job because he scores a few TDs in a preseason game. It will be his collective work in OTA's, Training Camp, and Preseason that does it for him. Jamalisms
It was a wobbly ass punt pass. It was a dumbass play into double coverage by the time the ball finally got there. Bonehead, I suppose, refers to the decision which was correct based on the coverage. It was made pre-snap and he took a calculated chance on third down that resulted in a punt equivalent. The pass itself was weak, fine, but understand the reason and it wasn't that big of a deal.
OILERMAN
The arm strength on the pass that resulted in the INT is the issue, not the decision to throw the pass. I actually thought one of the worst passes MH threw was an out to Washington on the sideline that picked up about 3 yards. The ball traveled across the field and took so long to get there the defense closed in and stopped it for a very short gain even though Washington was wide open. MH can't throw anything deep and can't throw passes outside the hash marks. That puts so many limits on the offense there is no way you can sustain drives and make big plays. Jonboy
Hopefully they go ahead and announce Jake as the starter after this next preseason game. He needs all the first team reps in practice to get acquainted with the new o-line, Velasco snapping, etc... You can't build chemistry overnight. Which is way he should have been named the starter from day one. Personally, I still think they are going to go with Hasselbeck to start the year which will be a huge mistake. heyitsmeallen
I dont care how tough the first half of the Schedule is, I want to see LOCKER starting this whole season.. its a new era for the Titans. A near 40 QB isnt the answer.. so lets find out if our high draft pick is the guy.

Jamalisms
It wasn't the correct decision because of his limitations regardless of his pre-snap read. Nonsense. While he is "limited" to short and intermediate throws due to arm strength, that is hardly a hard and fast line prohibiting any attempt of a pass beyond X yards. If he reads a deep throw, he takes it. Execution was poor, but if you honestly think he should never attempt a pass beyond X yards, then you're crazy and he would be out of the league forever ago. No NFL QB is that limited
