They could .  Still I’d sign at worst a fringe starter at RG in FA.  Honestly RT is the way bigger issue .  I just hate the idea of depending on him though.  Better to make him earn it.

I don’t see them drafting a C. Depends on how they see Cushenberry moving forward.  RG and RT are the big ones.

And yeah replacing 3 guys on the right side of the line is difficult.

Since all the cooler talk seems to be pointing to slater playing center hopefully that means we have our new center on roster already.

I could see a scenario where slater takes over center, they move latham to rg and sign or spend a day 2 draft pick on a new tackle(assuming we get a good trade back). That still leaves us 1 more year of dan moore but idk if there is any way around that.

OT has to be on the table as a high need. Any hope of getting the most out of Ward and developing him requires quality pass protection. They can't hope Latham gets better, they have to get another opt

I realize the CB room is totally bare but playing Winston as the nickelback is ridiculous. If Harris is replacing McCreary he should be getting all the snaps at nickel. Put a scrub outside and leave W

I've been sprinkling in OT prospects in rounds 2-4 of the mocks I'm playing around with, I wouldn't mind us putting some day 2 picks toward the spot and I bet they will if Borg does well with trade backs.

Once the aeason ends ill start geinding tape. Just not enough of ot out there till febuary to really matter. Well, without paying or begging schools for tape atleast, and im not that into it.

Seems a lot to ask for a second year C (re: Slater).

Anyway, just based on(KC history) it’s almost a fucking lock that we will be spending big on either a RG or RT.  Also depends on what they think about the draft class.

Latham is the odd man out .  Because he can’t play either OT spot .  Also he’s been injured and gotten fat .

I wouldn’t be surprised if they spent on a Rt and drafted a G high and have him (Latham ) as a depth player.

I think its to early to call latham a bust. As much as I was against drafting him he still has a chance to stick somewhere. Im not one for sunk cost arguments but pick 7 is a hard pill to swallow to not at least try him at guard if he doesn't make a magical turn around at tackle down the stretch.

I also think a new coaching staff could help his chances. He obviously isnt the GM or new coaches guy but coaches love to try and fix these high draft picks giving Latham at the least a chance.

Not against this at all but I need a hedge.

Either a fringe level G like Dalton Risner or a mid round pick there , just in case Latham bombs at RG as well.

If we net 3 picks(in this draft) in a trade back I would be very suprised if we dont draft 2 linemen. That would give us 10 picks which let us hit everything we need with atleast one pick with a little wiggle room.

i would put TE on there but I still haven't seen one that fits our needs for an inline guy. Also, yes, I know I just listed everything but qb. Its bad lol.

Yes he had a crazy anchor that lots of people loved, but his mobility issues were in every single report from a thing to keep an eye on to a major flaw. He also had tons of penalties, i belive it was almost 20 in his last 2 seasons.

This is what bugs me though. I knew he had suspect lateral movement...hence, the guard talk. But I thought he was at least stout. I thought he was the guy that if the DID lock on, it was over. The bull rush he gave up yesterday was hard to watch.

I dont remember many reps like that in college. Ofc it is much more likely to happen in the nfl against much stronger and faster on average players who understand leverage better.

His yoyo weight issues may also be a factor.
