Russia Vs NATO Escalation

Yesterday, US Jets were scrambled against Russian aircraft entering Alaskan airspace.

Additionally, several more airports were shut down in Denmark due to unknown drones hovering around sensitive military installations. Denmark is considering invoking NATO Article 4.

Poland is making military preparations to not only shoot down Russian aircraft that violate its airpsace, but to shoot down Russian air threats over Ukraine.

Russia is getting really desperate because their entire economy is on the brink of collapse - I am not sure that the Federation will last another year without something changing. I believe Putin would rather lose to NATO than to Ukraine, and he is poking the bear.

Of course, per the Financial Times - Putin was convinced during the Alaska summit that Trump would not intervene on behalf of Europe - so his actions are becoming more bold.

I'm a bit torn on what I think is happening here.

Russia is losing in Ukraine and their economy is tanking. Its almost fully a wartime economy and theyre supposedly having energy shortages due to attacks on their oil infrastructure.

Putin knows that Hungry, Turkey and now the US will block any larger action against them. So he's trying to do 2 things

1) He wants to make citizens of European countries feel scared. Scared people are easier to manipulate. Then he'll try to use his misinformation machine to turn citizens of those countries against their liberal government.

2) He wants countries to feel isolated. He wants to invade their airspace and then when other countries do nothing and NATO doesn't help, it starts to break apart the feeling of security that NATO provides and emphasizes weakness in the alliance.

His problem is that NATO countries don't have to take direct action against him. They can just help Ukraine and wait. That being said, I think NATO countries still believe in NATO regardless of US involvement and of he pushes too hard, he's going to lose some plans if not more.

This is bizarre. Is this related to Europe or Venezuela? Iran?

Purging the ranks? Loyalty pledges? Seminar on non-wokeism?

So weird. If we were on the brink of war, this is the last thing you'd want to do strategically, but then again Hegseth is a total fucking idiot.
