He's one of the better coaches in the league, but at some point does his seat start to get hotter? I don't see a Gruden type who can take over for him. Eventually Peyton finally started to beat Brady in the playoffs. But Allen and McDermott haven't gotten over the KC hump still. I think you can with Allen, just not sure about McDermott. In Indy, Manning ran that team. Dungy was a glorified DC. The fact Dungy is in the HOF is laughable and clearly only because he was the first black coach to win a SB..... So beyond handling Mahomes and a phenomenal Reid offense, teams have to handle a dominant defense with an elite DL. Mahomes and Reid deserve all the credit in the world for making plays when they have to (and they do, with infuriating consistency), but Spagnulo and that defense really make them a well rounded beast. I thought he actually did a good job of caching as aggessively as he could dare to try and compensate. Josh Allen stupidly trying to sneak over his left guard every time wasn't his fault. The year prior, he led a 15 play drive in his last attempt with the ball only to watch his kicker miss a game -tying 44 yard FG at under 2 minutes. In 2022, they took the lead with 13 seconds left. The fact it even looked close to a catch was a pretty impressive effort by Kincaid, especially when you watch the behind cam and you can see just how far behind the throw was.
