Just because I’m an independent, doesn’t mean I have to say nice things about your party of choice when they have done nothing to improve the quality of life in this country in my lifetime.

lmao I can’t wait until all of the undocumented farm workers get deported and the farmers are forced to pay $15 an hour for help so groceries go up even more.

I genuinely hope the economy doesn’t tank, but every policy Trump wants to implement will do just that. I mean, they literally said with their own mouths that their plan is to tank the economy…. I would love for them to actually implement things that help Americans, but they said that’s not their agenda.

Trump's new admin wants to create a more sustainable system.  The current system will ultimately bankrupt the US.  

 

Cut spending and wasteful programs, end the wars (prevent WWIII), secure the border, keep the tax cuts and add some more tax cuts, and redo Obamacare.  Only thing I have some concerns about is the tariffs.  But if done thoughtfully, I think it will be much better for the US long term.  

We'll see what happens but I'm glad you're hoping for the best.

They don’t want to truly cut government programs. They will “close them” and privatize them just like Bush did. The only thing that will come of it is more profit for the rich…. They want to deport undocumented workers. The United States agriculture, meat, and dairy industries all rely heavily on those workers to make sure that US products stay affordable. As soon as they lose those workers every domestically produced food will go up in price because they will pass the raise in wages on to the consumer(if they can even fill the positions). Tarrifs on imported goods will also raise prices because those will be passed on to the consumers too. Hes already working to break unions even though they voted for him. There hasn’t been a GOP president in my lifetime that didn’t skyrocket the debt and cripple the economy for the next admin. 
 

The GOP had control of the house and senate and didn’t pass healthcare reform, why would they do it now?
 

When they defund the department of education it will cripple parents of special needs and title 1 kids because that’s where most of the funding goes to. Red states will get even worse in education than they already are. 
 

Seriously, can you name a single thing the GOP has done to improve the life of the average American in the last 50 ish years? They start wars, skyrocket debt, and actively attack any program that might help the poor while they constantly give out welfare to corporations. 

 

I hope that what he does, doesn’t actually crash the country. But I’m not optimistic that will be the case. The party has proven over and over again that they don’t care about us.

My business makes bongs. The Tarrifs will help my industry because they would raise the price on Chinese import bongs. But again, I have empathy. Not everything in the world should be about how things only affect you. Hopefully everything works out well for you and your family.
