I’ve just built a web application that pulls it all in so we will all have some nice visibility and analytics available right here. It will also track people who are tanking. If you’re playing injured players, leaving starting spots empty, or purposely playing bad players every week when you clearly have better players on your roster it will be obvious to everyone. Since we are starting the lottery next season, that allows those people who acted in bad faith the previous season to be penalized. These are not real numbers, but say it was a three person lottery where: 12th gets 3000/6000 points in the lottery 11th gets 2000/6000 10th gets 1000/6000 If 12th tanked hard and the algorithm put it at a 33% penalty, they would have 2000/5000. Same for 11th. Basically, they went from a 50% chance at number one to a 40% chance. At the same time, team 11 goes from 33% to 40% and team 10 goes from a 16.6% to 20%. I think it makes it by far the most fair way of doing it possible. I will also post the code on GitHub and stream the lottery live so everyone knows everything is on the up and up.
