Where is this all star offensive line coming from to protect two aging QB's?

McGlinchey? Suemalo? Powers? Ben Jones? Risner? Tyron Smith? Andre Dillard?

There are options to upgrade the offensive line.

I know you get very stubborn about what exactly you want at our pick in the draft though lol, so I get the resistance because you want Johnson or Jones at LT and these options don't fit with that

No I want to build something sustainable and not live in a fantasy world where Rodgers or Brady makes this team a Super Bowl contender.

You're instead living in a fantasy world where losing is acceptable for a time in order to re-build a roster from the ground up and where Vrabel doesn't push all of his chips into the middle of the table for 2023.

As with every other QB, you evaluate them, and if you determine they are worth the risk of giving up the assets it takes, then you do it. At this point, I am not sure he has shown that he is worth the assets the Niners would likely want, but if RC and Vrabel decide otherwise then fine.

The smooth brain takes that our roster has too many holes to try to get a QBOTF are stupid; if you think you can acquire an elite/potentially elite QB, you do it and worry about everything else later. The takes that he may cost too much relative to the chance that he would actually succeed for us are fair.

Put him in the same evaluation process you are using to determine whether Young, Stroud, Richardson, Levis, Rodgers, Brady, etc. are worth their cost and go from there. There is a very real chance (perhaps the most likely outcome) that none of them are worth the cost relative to keeping RT which is completely fine. Draft other positions and re-evaluate next year.

Until we have a long-term solution at QB, you have to consider all options; you don't have to pursue everyone, but do your due diligence and go from there.

WTF are you talking about where have I said anything about tearing the roster down and starting again there are a lot of young defensive pieces in place already and the focus needs to be adding young talent offensively to build something sustainable.

Also those FA aren't going to be cheap and some of them like Dillard are suspect.

TGO has gone off the rails lately.  Literally, wants any other qb not named Willis to replace Tannehill.

Will Brady want to mentor Trey Lance to replace him as Titans QB in 2024? TBD, but hopefully he does it better than Tannehill with Willis. Maybe if Tannehill was more committed to mentor role then Willis wouldn’t have flamed out so badly.

Why you picking on Willis?  He was probably spending all that time reading and re-reading his Bible!  He didn't have time for Tannehill's lectures!

If the 49ers were willing to move on from a guy that they used 3 first round picks on this quickly that is a big no from me.

I'd be fine with it for a couple mid-round picks spanning this year and next year.

I have zero idea how anyone could think Lance would not only be worth the 11th pick but even more.
