No he wouldn’t - because the Titans would never pay a WR that much money.

I meant it would have gotten done if the Titans had offered it, which I agree never would have happened. They traded him because they didn’t want to pay him and knew he wasn’t going to give them a discount, not because he “broke off communication.”

Knowing AJB, both of these things could be true. Robinson sets a max value and doesn’t exceed it - so at that point maybe AJB got sand in his vagina knowing other teams would pay more and then stopped communicating.

It wasn't just cutting off communication, it was demanding at trade, it was training with Hurts (when other WR were in Florida working with Tannehill) and openly flaunting it on social media, it was telling Hurts to tell Roseman to go get him from the Titans.

I’m pretty sure Brown also practiced with Tannehill in Florida this offseason.

Deebo just proved that trying to force a trade isn’t enough of an excuse.

If my employer wouldn’t pay me market rate, I personally WOULD NEVER ask my friend who works in the same industry about high paying job in his company.

Ehhhhh, Vrabel and Robinson aren’t the guys that will gloss over a trade demand. They don’t want anyone here who isn’t 100% all in.

His nickname is Trader Jon. I highly doubt AJB was like “trade me” and Robinson said “ok guess we can’t have you back here now.”

This has always been my default position, if Vrabel and JRob truly felt AJ Brown no longer wanted to be here they weren't going to play hardball to try and "force" him to stay.

Can't remember everyone but there was 5-6 guys there (Brown definitely wasn't one of them)

I was being sarcastic. I couldn’t care less about an offseason throwing session with Kinsey and McMath. If that TD catch against Bengals wasn’t proof enough, AJ Brown absolutely did not need reps with Tannehill. He wanted to work out with his friend, who he’d also be excited to play alongside if the Titans negotiations went nowhere.

I think that’s exactly how it went down.

The Titans offered a similar contract to what was offered to all of these receivers to Brown. He shut the conversation down.

Regardless if the above is absolutely correct, it's definitely in the scope of what happened. Brown wanted out and the Titans obliged him and picked his replacement.

He was offered a contract on par with the other ones from what we've seen leaked, so acting as if that didn't happen is the truly stupid part.

Or he did it to agitate the situation and get what he ultimately wanted a huge new contract and to play with his buddy Hurts.
