2023 NFL Draft Discussion

Currently watching the Washington vs Washington St game and big Washington RG Henry Bainivalu looks to be an intriguing IOL option in the 2023 draft.

Bainivalu moves well for a guy carrying 330lb+ and could be an option to replace Nate Davis if JRob chooses not to re-sign him.

Carter should be looking for a new job whenever the Titans season ends.

Was checking today.. if we lose out we could be as high as #10 or #11 pick. look at the bright side

Purely from a prospect perspective I agree with Mina Kimes Mayer would be a great fit for Titans, but taking JRob's draft history into account I would need to see him take a first round TE to believe he would actually do it.

Was just coming to post this. Mayer is a near perfect player-coach-organizational match for us, but yes Robinson hasn’t jumped into the early TE pick thus far.

That being said, if we get far enough that we take ourselves out of contention for many, if not all, of the best OT and EDGE prospects (also assuming they don’t Re-sign Hooper), then I would be fine with them taking Mayer and playing a lot of 12 personnel with Okonkwo.

Also wouldn’t have an issue with them drafting Georgia’s Darnell Washington. He will likely not test as well athletically so they could probably get him on Day 2.

Will be fascinating to see how the NFL values Washington he is almost in that unicorn category as its rare to get a TE/OT type hybrid player.

If Rattler can improve his decision making, he's got some of the best arm talent in college football. He will probably stay another year but with the recent success and his great sophomore year, there might be enough for him to declare for the draft.

Caleb Williams looked like he's close to NFL ready, but my guess is he goes back for 1 more season at SoCal..he was responsible for over 500 yards of offense before victory formations..

He's a true sophomore.. he isn't eligible or else he would declare and would be the 1st pick. Probably will be as hyped as a prospect as Trevor Lawrence

Take him in the 7th round.. unfortunately he'll be 26 next season and 27 or 28 before he actually plays, but he has much more potential than than Willis..

ACL injury in November probably means he has a good shot at being ready to play by the beginning of next season. I don't think his age is the show stopper that many fans think it is... He'll go in the 3rd round at worst

Reading through Dane Brugler's mock 1.0 and it played out as expected the top 3 OT were long gone before the Titans pick, have no issues with who Brugler picked for the Titans as he would be a perfect fit for this Titans offense.

The only question is whether JRob would actually pick a first round TE.

26. Tennessee Titans: Darnell Washington, TE, Georgia*

One of the most unique prospects in the draft class, Darnell Washington is a big-framed athlete (6-7, 275 pounds) with outstanding blocking skills and ascending pass-catching ability. He is still far from his football ceiling and would be an ideal fit for the Titans’ offensive identity.

Yeah I wouldn’t mind that pick at all if the best OT, WR, and EDGE are gone. Shoot with Washington, you might even consider having him put 30 lbs and become a legitimate LT lol. He’s that good at blocking .
