Well, yes. That primarily.

But, to your point , even though it was a terrible play call…yes, Titans should be able to line up on third and one or fourth and one and make that yard. They should be built to get that yard and there was no excuse not to.

I'm legit concerned the decline of Henry has already started.

The Pats would have never paid Henry(more specifically a 2 down RB)

RB is definitely part of the offensive overhaul. They need to acquire a back-up/starting RB behind Henry and they need to re-up Hillard or acquire another 3rd down RB since they cut Evans.

Luckily they can do this without devoting a lot of resources

I think with the way the offense is built, running the ball better is absolutely critical. Ultimately they lost the Bengals game because they couldn’t convert on short yardage. I expect that to be addressed first and foremost in terms of offensive personnel improvement.

What happens when you have a back on the decline like Henry?

You draft another one when it’s time? Or just run a guy like Foreman? Or trade for one ala Murray?

There is zero evidence that Henry is “on the decline”. Coming back from injury before being fully healthy hardly counts.

If he has a poor 2022 then all bets are off, but he is the starter this year.

The Patriots wouldn't be as invested as we are into a RB, no matter how great he is, because they'd know ultimately the game would be decided in the hands of their franchise QB.

The second Brady left they went and invested a high pick into another one.

We're in that awkward stage because we have a playoff caliber veteran roster, but without the SB caliber QB. So JRob invests everything into a miracle shot that Henry can stiff arm this team to a championship.

There is zero chance that Derrick Henry is cut, btw. Zero. Vrabel said they will continue to rely on him to carry the team this coming season.

I actually think Vrabel is more likely to keep Henry longer than Tannehill unless Henry just turns into Eddie George in his last year in TN overnight.
