We need to re-name this weekly thread "tracking the Jamal agenda" thread.

yup. Any attempt to track the numbers based solely on games with/without Henry is purely agenda driven. Its sad at this point.

"You guys will see now that Henry's injured!"

- Douchebags

"Hey, stop looking at what happened since Henry's been injured!"

- The Same Douchebags

I said I'd track it. I'm tracking it. I do it after wins. I do it after losses. You don't like it because of the results. I, on the other hand, don't give a flying fuck.

Wrong. We are laughing at how transparent and disingenuous you are about the offensive woes. No one is squirming or scared of the real results because we know the offense fell off a cliff when it lost it's WRs.

He's disingenuous because he disagrees with the talking point promoted by some that the offense as constructed isn't dependent on Henry to really excel?

I would say that AJB coming back is an absolutely huge addition and makes a big difference in the pass game. I don't know that I'd get into the weeds arguing about whether Henry or AJB is the more critical skill player, but my personal opinion is that it is Henry. I can see the arguments for AJB too though.

Its disingenuous because it doesn't factor in the loss of the top 4 WRs nor the situational football where the offense was shutdown in the 2nd half against the Rams and Saints. The offense averaged 16ppg with Henry before the team got a real QB, 33 ppg afterwards. Even this year the offense was 8th in ppg before the WR position collapsed. Lastly no one is arguing Henry isn't a huge part of the offense and that he's not missed. the original premise was that the offense would still continue to perform despite deficiencies in pass protection without Henry which of course was predicated on Tannehill having weapons to throw to. At best one could argue its inconclusive whether the offense needs Henry to be successful. Its not the slam dunk the wannabe Oilerman thinks it is. Its embarrassing and you would do well to not get yourself associated with him and the other delusional posters on this topic.

Well given the fact that we had so many weapons missing at once, I would agree that it is "inconclusive." But I don't really have a dog in the fight other than in general believing that the run game with a generational RB can hide a lot of flaws in an offense as long as you have a situationally competent and efficient passing game capable of generating big plays.

I think Henry will be in the HoF, but I also think AJB will be the best wide receiver to have ever donned a Titans uniform at some point in the future. First world problems to argue about I guess.

It seems to me that the "agenda" is on the other side of the debate here rather than Jamal's. This is just numbers, but people will make of it what they want to.

Sounds like:

"Standard caveats that your reaction to this speaks to your bias, not mine."

I agree.

He's disingenuous because he presents this stuff as if the offensive drop off is purely due to missing Henry rather than losing a staggering amount of difference making players AND Henry. It's why it will ring hollow when he makes some grand thread at the end of the season about how he was right and everyone else is stupid. Everyone knows that's what the "tracking" is really about. It's not some purely academic pursuit.

Just looking at these stats, it looks like Henry has been missed big time.  But these are just stats and stats can say anything.  You have to understand how to read them and not many people do.  Really, all you have to do is just take the stats from one half.  Tannehill was elite in the 2nd half against the 9ers.  I have been saying he's a Top 10 QB with the right talent around him, but that half opened my eyes.  Tannehill put 20pts on the board and lit up the 9ers.  So, really that's like 40 points if you double it.

I am not saying I think Tannehill will do that every game, but I bet he has another great half in his pocket.  He's elite now and we better be glad we got him.  If we lose a game, ain't his fault.  It's the rest of the players, It's only his fault when we win.  Tannehill is 10-0.  The rest of the Titans are 0-5.
