Wondering why Amy has not extended him yet.  Even Reich has been extended.  He will be snatched up quick if he leaves so she needs to get him locked up.  He is the perfect coach for this team

Does seem odd.  Robinson also...

I still think Vrabel is way too conservative in close games but he’s obviously in the elite class of coaches. He’s right there with Belichick, Tomlin, Payton, and McVay. LeFleur is overrated in my opinion.

Of course Vrabel isn't close to Belichick but that's not a knock on Vrabel.  He looks to be a great coach in his own right.

Hence the "might be next" wording. He's not there yet (no rings) but the ingredients look to be there.

It's hard to argue about Vrabel in close games.  His winning percentage in close games (games decided by one score or less) has to be among the best in the league.

Going through his career, his teams are 18-9 in games decided by one score or less.  And after starting 4-5 in those situations they're 14-4.  That includes the playoffs.

Couldn't you say that about any of the coaches?

Right and this seems to be an odd statement as a lot of Titans fans think of Tannehill as a game manager.  Not like Vrabel got Rodgers at QB like Lafleur.

I didn't realize that we have won 13 of our last 16 games.  That is a pretty high bar.

Since Tannehill took over they're 25-10 in the regular season.  That is hard to do in this league.

It's not urgent.  Still a year and a half of football and a complete off season before his contract is up.

Win percantage doesn’t matter,

What percentage did he run the ball on first down!?

We have a large group of fans who think Reich is better while Vrabel continues to beat him.

Meh I guess my phrasing is bad. I more so meant Vrabel doesn’t realize when a critical 4th down is in front of him or will run the ball for no gain 3 times in a row while we’re down 14. He’s let games get away in the past because he’s not ready to scrap the game plan quickly enough.

Like in the Cardinals game we should’ve been going for 4th downs in the 3rd quarter and he kept kicking field goals. This season he’s obviously been great but I think he hasn’t all of a sudden fixed these issues. He’s just been beating teams so bad that he hasn’t had many close games where these sort of issues come into play.

I still think he’s a top 5 coach but has a few flaws still.
