I think DHenry career already has a better top 50 play set and I am surprised how slow LT looks on long runs compared to Henry.

I think Henry is much better at breaking tackles too.

LT was a a very good receiver. Had almost 5000 receiving yards. If Henry could incorporate that into his game, he’d be a fucking monster.

He’s been working on it in minicamp.

Terrible take. LT is arguably the best RB in modern NFL history. Henry is too 1-dimensional to compare to that. He has plenty of huge plays, too, but LT did things Henry can’t with his moves.

I don’t think the OP is saying Henry’s better. His highlight reel is more spectacular than Tomlinson and I actually agree with that.

Tomlinson was amazing in his prime, but probably the one thing he lacked was that top end speed. He was not a home run hitter. Henry’s special in that regard.

If you watch the highlights, there are plenty of plays where LT makes moves that Henry just can’t. Henry has the speed and he has elite size, but LT made tons of plays where he just made guys miss. He had the moves. And he made plenty of plays as a receiver that Henry just can’t seem to do.

Both guys have great highlight reels. Both did things that the other guy can’t in their own way. But LTs highlights stand on their own.

Anyway, if you just want the competition for the best highlight film then it’s Barry Sanders and everyone else competing for 2nd place.

Oh I’ve watched LT plenty.  Don’t need to see highlights. They both bring something unique to the table.

LT had more wow plays in terms of making people miss and being more complete. Henry has more wow plays in terms of being a threat to take it to the house any time he touches the ball from any distance and bringing a very rare size/speed dimension

Henry is a tank with a hemi, but he's not a sports car. He doesn't handle curves all that well. Stiff hips. He just doesn't have agility and short area burst. Not even mid-tier level, really. Nevermind having it on the level LT, Faulk, or Sanders did.

But hey... Shaq couldn't shoot a free throw to save his mama's life. Did it matter ultimately?

Not exactly apples to apples comp, but gets the point across.  Not about begin perfect but being A Game Changer.

I think Faulk was probably the better complete  RB between the two.

Faulk could have been a great slot receiver.  Can't say that about (m)any RBs.  I have to think the majority of LT's catches were screens/wheels, even though he was a terror on those.

Henry is plenty shifty.  He never gets credit for it.  Last year he had four jump cut runs that were stunning.  The one to end the Ravens game was one.  He had three against the Texans that also were wow plays.  LT was faster than Henry based on their Indy 40 times but you'd never know it from this highlight reel.
