More nonsense from longtimebitch. The data doesn't lie, the GOP uses the filibuster to obstruct.

Dems should be wildly broadcasting the fact that the GOP is trying to fund it on “user fees” (cost increases for normal people) because they refuse to raise taxes on corporations.

Hot take. I expect better from the washingtonpost. Wyden will find a way to claim the bipartisan deal is sufficient on climate change if the White House and Senate leadership get behind the bill.

Well - Wyden confirmed it himself. But yeah, he could switch and just be pressuring for more climate measures.

Nothing is going to come from bi-partisan talks

It's a waste of time

Many in the Biden camp are convinced that doing this is what will keep him popular and help Democrats win elections.

Perhaps it has political value but in terms of getting actual policy passed it's useless

If it has 20 R-Senators, it won't pass House concurrence because the Squad will nuke it.

They have more of a vested interest in maintained dysfunction than actually legislating.

The Squad isn't big enough to nuke it. If it has 20 R senators, then there will be 20 R House Members or more too.

But if this is a viable framework and it is actually 1.2T in NEW infrastructure spending, then Biden should agree to it and take the win imo
