gatordude731
Why would they need to trade up for Barron? Very unlikely. Is there any other team that needs more depth at Safety than us?
WG53
But we're not trading into the top 10 for him b/c he's not going that high either. Don't take that to mean I'm saying we should trade up for Poe or Brockers or anyone else... I'm just saying those are the only ones who could probably go top 10. After his combine I would not be surprised at all to see Perry go in the top 10-15.
WG53
Is there any other team that needs more depth at Safety than us? I think you overrate Barron's draft stock. He looks like a late first - mid 2nd rounder to me.
JLocker10
I'd be surprised if we traded up There have been rumors like this before I remember rumors that we would trade up very shortly before the 2010 draft and it didn't happen obv

I understand that, but our need for a starting quality safety may make us reach for him despite of what his stock is.
JLocker10
Maybe Melvin Ingram
NewsToTom
Maybe Ingram, but my guess is Fletcher Cox, who seems increasingly unlikely to it past Dallas at #14 at the absolute latest.

Good point, forgot about him I like him, but I'd be hesitant to trade up I think we'd have to give up our 2nd and I don't want to do that
reo
I understand that, but our need for a starting quality safety may make us reach for him despite of what his stock is. reaching despite a guy's stock is one thing... trading into the top 10 for a guy that's a borderline 1st/2nd rounder is quite another. No way we're trading up for Barron Maybe Ingram, but my guess is Fletcher Cox, who seems increasingly unlikely to it past Dallas at #14 at the absolute latest. Not special enough to trade into the top 10 for. The only guy on the DL that I could see them thinking would be special enough to trade into the top 10 for would be Poe to be honest and I don't think he's worth it. He's at least got the physical qualities that some team could think he'd be great... enough that they'd trade for. I don't think he'd be worth it but he's one of the only guys that I could see us wanting badly enough to trade for. Cox doesn't strike me as a special player and you don't trade into the top 10 unless you think the guy is really special.
JLocker10
Maybe Quinton Coples
TampaTitan
More than likely it would be for Coples, but geez, we'd have to give up a lot to move into the top 10.

In the end, I think we stay at 20 Seems like there's always a "rumor" and that's what it usually ends up being I just don't think there's an Aldon Smth, Robert Quinn, Nick Fairley or a JJ Watt type player that we could trade up for in the top 10 range
Oiler FANatic
Maybe Melvin Ingram He's the only one I could imagine they would want to move up for. Coples and Poe are both total crap. I certainly wouldn't move up for Brockers either. Same with Cox. If they trade up for anyone, it has to be Ingram.
Jonboy
Only guy even close to being worth trading up for is DeCastro. Of course, he's o line and the rumor says d line.
notsolegato
The value in this draft is later on, not early, especially in our areas of need. Trading up would be a very bad move.
