I think they were mostly disappointed that Harris, Etienne, and Williams were already off the board since obviously the plan is to run for 3,500 yards this season and not throw or rush the other team's passer.

Would have been nice to get a solid backup for Henry.

After drafting D Evans last year?

Have no doubt JRob was caught a little off guard by some of the offensive skill guys that went between picks 54-84 and as he admitted tried to jump up and get a few guys and wasn't able to.

Yup. He blew it. Got good value on that trade down but missed out on the players.

In all honesty, pretend Henry couldn't play this year for some reason.

What's your predicted full season stat line for Evans?

Why are people so obsessed with analyzing likely targets who were missed because some other team picked them first? this isn't a blind auction, if some other team picks him first then so be it, that's how the draft works.

Yeah I'm sure it happens every draft

Because there are only so many guys that fit your needs and your scheme and if you miss on those guys it's hard to get good value and upgrade those positions.  Now you're relegated to just taking blind shots in the dark instead of making educated guesses on guys you think can help you.

I just don't see the point in dwelling on it. We're talking about a 3rd round TE here, a position which is notoriously unlikely to contribute much before year 3 or so at the best of times. It's perfectly fine to grade a player as worthy of a particular pick but not worth the trade up cost, not to mention the impossibility of reading the intentions of 31 other GMs to know when to move up to.
