They see it as their duty to criticize and second-guess every decision a President makes, regardless who’s in office or which party is in power . They’ve hammered on Biden the same way they constantly hammered Trump, Obama, Bush, etc….and they’ll hammer the next guy and then the guy after that. Other Presidents always understood this and refused to let the noise become a distraction. Trump was the only one who was stupid and insecure enough to take it personally and pout that they were mean to him and hurt his feelings. The issue is that unions had a contract (which they rejected in negotiations) imposed upon them. Biden called on Congress to do it. You perhaps might understand why unions might be unhappy about this.
