Aides say that President Flunk was initially opposed to showing respect, but later agreed to a compromise that would allow the flag to be lowered to half staff for 3/5 of a day.

That seriously might be one of the most pathetic things I’ve ever read.  You judge people by their ethics yet you support arguably the most ethically challenged human being in the public eye in this country.

It's like his competing with himself on a daily basis to come up with dumbest comments imaginable. At least, I hope that's the idea. I hope he doesnt actually think these are useful, informative, or in any way clever.

You win dumbest comments, hands down. Don't worry.

What does putting down Trump in this thread have to do with it either? But yet you can see it in the posts above. Jesus these people are hypocrites.

LOL no one mentioned Trump until you. WTF is wrong with these people.

State Senator Nikema Williams to replace Lewis on the ballot. From what I had read, this was expected. Williams represents mostly the same district and was somewhat of an understudy to Lewis. They ran in the same political circles and Lewis allies are also Williams allies.

You would think by now, his supporters would learn.  Hey @LongTimeFan, if this report is accurate, here you go. Give him your 3/5 praise.

The tweet is accurate but my post was a lame joke about the 3/5ths compromise. I'd say it was probably a random staffer who lowered the flag then Big Baby Cheesus saw it on Twitter and made them raise it.

Protocol is for the day of death and day after, so Trump gets a big fat Zero.

If he Lewis gets to 'Lay in State'(?) then I will give points back.

Edit: Technically Trump did it correctly since Lewis died late Friday.  Still, he should have ordered it at half staff through 7/19. So maybe he should get 3/5ths?
