When you haven't scored a point by the 3rd qtr and your QBR is 7 it doesn't take Einstein to make the move. No place to go but up.

Exactly. The move had to be OBVIOUS. When the rubber band was about to break it was easy and nobody could argue.

We had to hit bottom.

I think Vrabel is throwing him a bone, but to me it's even more demeaning.

Its like the Oilers used to have that fat guy, Mojo, run out and pick up the kicking tee after we kicked off. When Mojo died, they replaced him with a monkey riding a dog.

So can we get Mojo, the monkey or the dog to backup Tannehill instead?

The Titans fan base is largely stupid. Most fan bases for that matter are. The front office and the coaches made a bad decision. It was obvious then and even more obvious after seeing the results. It’s not debatable.

At this point, it really doesn’t matter because the big cost of their decision is somewhat mitigated by the result of this weekend.   In the end, that assessment may be incorrect because we have to see the toll a potentially playing three games instead of two for a physical football team.

Hopefully we go on a good run here because the tough, 8-8 seasons have caused most of the local fanbase to accept "gritty mediocrity." It's the team's culture.

The fanbase will accept a QB that consistently has 8 completions off of 30 passes if he QB sneaks the game-winning TD.

Back to the pity package, I think it does more harm than good for the flow of the offense. The red zone offense has been the absolute best in the league since Tannehill took over. There is absolutely zero fucking need for them to implement Mariota into some package down there at this point. If they continue it, It’s a time bomb waiting to explode in their face. If it cost them a game I’m going to be livid

I hated it at first, but I like the strategy in the preparation aspect. Hate on Vrabel all you want for trotting MM out there, but it seems like a calculated move.

It is really funny to see the usual suspects with the personal hate for MM coming out the woodwork to speak on how intellectually superior they are.

At this point, you gotta trust in the coaches and Robinson. I sure hope that when MM is off the team, some of you guys can move on from your love fest.

Imagine if they put Mariota out there and he fumbled twice or threw an interception.

Nice troll job. Perhaps the guy who led the league in passer rating, yards per attempt and second completion percentage gets a little more leeway then a guy who throws for 13 and 11 touchdowns per year.

Without Tannehill coming in and bailing out the Titans, they would’ve been sitting on the couch watching some other team play that game

Give me one good reason why you should change up a red zone offense that is converting 90% efficiency rate over the last 11 games? There isn’t one. Even if there was one, you certainly aren’t smart enough to figure it out

Wrong.. Why tinker with the best red zone offense?

especially with a player who had it as one of the worst offenses in football when he actually played.

A true titan fan doesn’t want to see that bag of shit ever set foot on the field for a meaningful play ever again

For the first time in a while, I wouldn't mind seeing Mariota run it -- maybe even do one of those preseason leaps into the endzone. Hell yeah he deserves to be a part of it.

BUT HE SURE AS FUCK SHOULDN'T BE THROWING THE BALL
