Explain what happens with Mariota.  We get anything for him with his contract being up?

The team will get something but who knows what because the exact comp formula has never been released.  But part of the formula is reportedly the original draft position and contract, which would be to the Titans benefit.

If I understand our strategy we're going to lose a bunch of solid starters for 3rd and 5th round comps, then we're going to cut some other solid starters who never miss a game.  Sounds legit.

Except the alternative is to lose players , get old, and have to do a complete rebuild again

He's not even that. He's terrible at LT.

He isnt that bad at it. He is a respectable rt and on the left side he is a decent backup. That is about all you can ask for.

What do you want him 2 be bruce Matthews?

The core of our team is so young...

Byard

Evans

Brown

Henry

Adoree

Aj

Landry

Simmons

Lewan

Almost none of our best players are over 30 let alone on their 2nd contract.

The Titans have 5 OL (Lewan, Saffold, Jones, Davis and Douglas) under contract going into the off season.

They normally carry 8-9 OL on the roster.  If Conklin leaves (which there has been a report of) and Kelly isn't resigned, then the team is looking for 2 OTs this offseason with only 6 draft picks.  Kelly makes slightly less than 1.5M this year and he has some position flexibility in a pinch.  He's not a world beater or even a starter, but he is valuable depth.  JRob needs to try to work out a reasonable deal with him as he does with a number of other current depth players.

It’s a non factor given the type of contract he’ll get.

Regardless, if the Titans don’t lose more unrestricted few agents than they sign, it’s a moot point.

His first play at LT the guy just ran right by him and got a strip sack. We can certainly ask for better. Don't mention him in the same breath as Matthews, Roos or Hopkins.

You missed the point I was making. He is decent. He isnt great by any means but he does what a swing tackle is asked of. I didnt compare him 2 matthews to say he wad anything like him. Matthews might have been the best oline player of all time. The point was he does well most of the time and one shit play dosn't mean he sucks.

Edit: i also want 2 say why i mentioned Matthews is because he is the only person iv heard of 2 play every oline position at a probowl level and I exaggerated about why would anyone expect that from a backup.

Here we go with more asinine BS clueless stuff.  Conklin pass blocks as well as he run blocks. Decent at both.  If all he could do is run block we wouldn't be worried about losing him in FA.  These kind of comments are fitting for Gotitans

I never mentioned Conklin at all. My comments were all about Kelly.

This

noone understands this. They seem to think we have only RT, Henry, Conklin and Ryan to pay

theres a shit more coming up next year considering we have Smith, Brown , Davis and Jackson in line next n that’ll be expensive

The window is now before you have a ton of second contracts. That’s why the damn QB thing was so disappointing.

A question we really need answering is what to do with "RT" and "Ryan."

You see, this is a big offseason.  We need to make decisions on our RT.  We also need to do something with RT.

Ryan's future is also a question mark for the team.

And then we have Ryan that many want to resign.

It's good thing there are context clues!
