He wasn't even in the league the 3 years that Kearse was dominant.

Really? That's weird, cause that's what he said.

Yeah he was drafted in '02. Maybe he's going by what other guys told him.

You forgot when Brock Osweiller threw for 380 yards and 3 TDs.  Oh wait, that was against the Bears, the defense which you were just bragging about.

Rodgers put up nearly 300 and 3 TDs against Chicago.  So did Brady.  They gave up 30 to a team that put up 0 points against us.  But yeah, they are I totally dominant and we aren't, despite there being nothing to support that claim besides your personal opinion.

No I didn't forget anything. The post you quoted states that they gave up one 300+ yard passer. I also included plenty of examples and a very pertinent statistic that backs my claim. You can't accuse someone of "having nothing to support" their claim by ignoring the evidence they provide. Do you seriously believe our defense is better than Chicago or are you just picking a fight because you're bored?

Our DC is much better than their DC. They have more horses in the front 7. Our secondary is hit or miss at times, but they’re one of the best in the league. I would say we are close, but in terms of talent you take the Bears every time.

Yeah it's not like I'm saying we're bums or anything. I'm just pointing out that we do lack in some of the key areas that pertain to stopping elite QBs. Didn't realize that was a controversial take.

While I won't deny that final accusation, I could care less about us giving up 30 more yards passing in a game in which we allowed 20 points.  There is something to be said for a disciplined defense which plays great in clutch situations such as in the redzone and at the end of games.  It has worked for NE for years, so it's not like we are performing at an unsustainable level because of the limitations of our personnel.

I just don't see this as black and white as you do.  Are we great at forcing turnovers and pressuring the QB?  No.  Are we great at keeping points off of the board?  Absolutely.  As good as Chicago.  I haven't watched much of Chicago, but I know they gave up at least two game winning drives to GB and Miami.  We've been money other than Buffalo, which I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since the offense was fucking awful enough to lose to a team which scored 13.

It isn’t, but we’ve done a hell of a job this year on defense. The Bears squashed the Rams and we made mincemeat of the Patriots. We are close. We have to hope Pees stays on for one more year and he trains an assistant.

Personally, I think this is the best defense we’ve ever had as Titans because of the fact we work as a unit and no single player is dominating out there.

I’d rather us debate and argue this than another fucking “you know who” thread. That’s why I haven’t been posting as much. I get tired of debating the same shit every day.

This is where I'm at... I was just astonished though at when looking at stats by drive efficiency (something you could reasonably have a conversation about extrapolating the data, albeit still very unscientific) that I honestly don't think this team gets more wins with the potentially more talented and opportunistic Bears D

I agree. The defense has consistently been pretty good. They just don’t make a ton of flashy plays. But they seem to make plays when they need to.
