The top pick is one asset, the Knicks have not a lot else. Sure it is super valuable, but would the Knicks give that up for what could be a rental? He (Davis) listed the Knicks as one of the teams that he would discuss an extension with. So I think there is interest there on both sides. The other teams were: both LA teams, Milwaukee. They have this summer to bring in a big FA to convince him to stay if they were to trade for him. If they land KD/Kyrie I think AD would stay. I think it's more about the timing. If LA wants him now, before the deadline, they want an epic deal. I read something that essentially said New Orleans is going to clean house after the season and fire the GM and Coach. So if they are going to trade AD for a rebuild they are either going to get insane, way over the top value now or wait and let the GM put his stamp on the trade. Go head Rob and Magic. Agreed. Pelicans are playing a dangerous game. I think they may have passed on the best offer they might get (salary relief + 2 1sts + Lonzo, Kuz, Ingram--that's really good). The draft picks don't figure to be high lotto types and the players the Lakers are offering are all kind of disappointing, plus Ingram is due for a hefty extension soon.
