I still can’t  believe he didn’t win the Heisman. Baker mayfield is a dime a dozen QB. Barkley has the skills and mental toughness to be a star in this league.

He went for a total of 107 yards (3.06 yards per carry) and 0 TDs in the two biggest games of the season in consecutive weeks, and against his two division rivals to whom his team lost to. That's the death knell of death knells in the Heisman race. In only 5 of 12 (regular season) games did he average at least 5.0 ypc. As a comparison, Henry went for 481 and 4 TDs against his two biggest division rivals, and averaged at least 5.0 ypc in 10 of 12 regular season games.

Not saying Henry is better than Barkley. Just pointing out why Barkley didn't win the Heisman.

Hey FistShaker, how’s the ladies treating you tonight? Maybe you should try the other side. McNair’s son might give you a blow if you don’t let him know you’re a tard. Try not saying anything.

The combine is just another opportunity to get acquainted with the amateur-hopeful coming into the league. Kinda like the First Pick online drafting game. Treating it as anything more than that as a fan is an exercise in futility.

Need an example? Corey Davis did nothing at the combine last year and we took him 5th overall. So yeah.

Corey is the face of an entire amateur draft scout sub-culture. He was the ultimate example of a "trust the tape" guy. Phenomenal tape with absolutely 0 work out numbers to go on. Lot of hopes hang on him.

I loved him during the draft process and thought he turned it on late in the season when he was probably finally 100%

Disregarding any efforts to engage in yet another debate over whether or not we should have drafted CD, would you prefer a prospect have tape/production or combine workout numbers, e.g. Chris Henry circa 2007?

Excellent player, but he's still a fucking running back. If you have a top 3 pick and you draft a rb in the modern NFL, you should be fired on the spot. With a top 3 pick, you MUST draft QB/best available pass rusher/amazing left tackle prospect or trade for a bounty to someone who wants any of the above. Drafting running backs at the very top of the draft (with the way that the modern NFL is structured) is the NFL GM equivalent of investing in a new Blockbuster Video franchise.

 Blockbuster Video franchise.

I miss the shit out of Blockbuster. Fuck Redbox. And the instant gratification of Netflix just doesn't feel the same as getting to Blockbuster to check out the newly released movie you'd been waiting for like patience on a monument. Sure, there was the chance it'd be checked out by the time you got there but that was part of the thrill.

I actually enjoyed movie stores and cd/record stores too. I watched/listened to a lot of shit that I would have never known about if the physical case wasn't there for me to read/try. Not to mention all of the goddamn NES, SNES, and Sega video games that I was introduced to by simply being interested in the visuals and descriptions from the display box.
