T-RAC
LaFleur is the most exciting hire so far. Would have preferred him as HC over Vrabel.
El Guapo
I just hope we have screen passes and receivers catching the ball on the run (slants) in the playbook.

An upgrade from the previous regime isn't close to swinging for the fences. This is the first hire that has special potentially written on it but it still is his first time calling plays in his career so it's a par for the course exciting hire. Well I mean it's the first time in likely the history of the franchise going back to Houston that they'll be running a player friendly offense and actually fitting a scheme to players and not the other way around. So that's exciting. Now we will all be able to see how good Mariota really is.

I am still hoping that we can refine our O and D to get set up for 2020 and beyond. It will be known in sports circles as the Roaring Titan '20s! We dominate the NFL and it'll make the Roaring 20's of last century look weak as hell. Let's drag the stock market along for the ride with us too. lol

This move suggests to me we're still going to be committed to running the ball. Rams were 8th in rushing this season. He comes from that McVay, Shanahan, Kubiak tree. Those guys still run the ball. Perhaps LaFleur will adjust, but those offenses also are near the bottom of the league in shotgun. Rams were in shotgun only 42% of the time. Mariota will still likely be under center a lot. The shotgun stuff can be adjusted. But yeah we're still going to run. That's what Robinson wants. He just wants to see Mariota fit into that plan as well. CaliTitan3518
I said from the beginning Flip was a long shot. Lafleur comes from great coaching ties. Hes been apart of some really good offenses so hopefully he can bring that to us. Who really knows how he will be as he hasnt called plays before. Hopefully we can hold onto him for atleast a few seasons.

mmmmmbeeer
Love it. It is going to be so refreshing to watch this team move the ball next season with some regularity. This season was just boring, boring, bad football on the offensive side of the ball. I expect next season to be a complete 180 from what we've become accustomed to watching. Watkins wasnt exactly a top target for the Rams offense so I dont think Lafleur will want him. Assuming Lafleur runs a shanahan type offense the big thing is an X WR. I think we get what we wanted out of Corey Davis now.

He just wants to see Mariota fit into that plan as well. It can be, though those offenses are usually near the bottom in those categories. ATL with Kyle Shanahan ran the highest % of under center plays in 2016. They like to run from under center to set up those PA, bootlegs, etc. But we'll see.
