oldschool
The 8-4 record is a mirage but you can't fault the Titans for having an easy schedule.
OILERMAN
The Titans offensive talent is not improved, neither RB is close to what Murray was last year, Smith is a big downgrade as the inline TE and the WR core isn’t upgraded. This keeps being said but it’s not true. Maroita is struggling One area vastly improved is the secondary
Face
Honestly these guys are completely right. And it's not just about stats, its that the play on the field completely lines up with the stats. This team needs 4th qtr comebacks to beat the dregs of the league. And Im not blaming anybody in particular, I just want to see a better team.

Murray totally dropped off, we lost Fasano, lost Sharpe who turned out to be more NFL ready than Davis and is probably better than Decker overall at this point in his career. The interior OL has been playing injured and has lost something in terms of run blocking. Lewan is having a down year. The offensive personnel certainly has more potential this year and will improve over the offseason, but in terms of immediate contributions--it has been an overall downgrade personnel wise due to losses/acquisitions or due to player injuries/regression. Starkiller
They have played well enough to beat their mostly weak opponents. A win is a win. 8-4 isn’t a mirage, just a product of a weak schedule. But no one here is thinking we are a Super Bowl favorite, either.

Maroita is struggling One area vastly improved is the secondary I've said it before but if this is the best that Mularkey can do with a good OL (great tackles), a good RB (Henry), vastly improved potential at WR (draft capital) and the best QB that we have had since McNair then maybe Mularkey isn't the right guy? Face
It's tough to figure the tackles. Lewan & Conklin have certainly been "good" this year but nowhere near the dominant pair we were expecting. I'm wondering if Lewan is playing hurt, his run blocking especially has completely fallen off recently. He's also been pushed into the QB pretty routinely by guys that would normally have no business beating him.

Weren't you arguing that he was done after the Jax toe injury?

Spain is playing with turf toe, Lewan is playing with a knee injury, and Jones is playing with an elbow/arm injury.

But something has been off with Lewan. Injuries might prevent him from being as good as he should be. The guy constantly has nagging injuries.
