I've upgraded the site software as one of the measures to stop the 503 error messages. The update was to 4.2, which is considered a major release and is full of a bunch of new core features. Because of this, many things behind the scenes were moved and renamed. The design sits on top of that, which means that some things broke.

Most of this is cosmetic, but some of it will require a bit more such as the likes/reputation system since they have adopted a sort of Facebook style where you get multiple "like" options.

In either case, when all was said and done it turned the upgrade was unnecessary in order to fix the 503 problem.

So, I plan to spend a bit of time to see how easy it is to do a complete upgrade of the existing theme. If it seems like it might be impossible or will take longer than I'd want you all to suffer I might consider rolling back, which means everything prior to yesterday would be gone. I am trying to avoid that, but ultimately it's about making sure everyone has the best browsing experience.

So potentially, since the rollback would mean that the posts may end up getting deleted anyway, I can make really vile, disgusting, and offensive posts.

Oh wait - never mind.  I do that already.

Hopefully smoothing things out will be relatively easy without having to rollback, but do what you gotta do. Sweep the leg, Johnny.

I am making significant progress.

I am planning on not having to do this.

Top priority: Restore speed and stability

-Move back off of Cloudflare

-Purchase DDoS protection from someone like Sucuri. I'm open to suggestions

-Recreate old caching rules (for Litespeed server)

-Audit of everything on the server and all processes to see if there are anymore potential offenders
