If you're the defense, you appreciate that. EVEN IF IT FAILS (which it did). And as you saw on the next drive, the defense rewarded the faith that Mike put into the team by making the big play. It was absolutely the right call because it was a winning call. Also exactly
nine
I liked the decision at the time, I liked it even after the 2-point attempt failed, and I like it even better now that the game is over.

scine09
I agree with Oilerman. It was an absolutely no-brainer. Now the playcall was terrible but that's another story. Teams should be doing this every time. As Oilerman said how many times do we see teams tie it only to lose on a field goal.

Because two point conversions and onside kicks have been a significant failure all year long. And it was situationally a bad call.
scine09
He was short by a good half a yard. I thought it was a good challenge.
terradawg
I think it was a horrible call considering the game situation. If we convert it puts KC in pass first mode and our weakness is the secondary. The defense was playing well. If we tie it KC has to play conservative and run the clock because they don't want us getting the ball back. Whatever, we won.
japan
Oilerman, if Munchak had made that same call, would you be calling it genius?

prine06
I thought there was no reason or benefit of going for 2, but I can totally buy into this theory. Regardless awesome to see the team battle all game long overcoming turnovers and pulling out an amazing win... Shame Jax/Minnesota sux.
