Legaltitan - Shoudl I change this name?

Should I Change My Name Here to Something Else?

I took on the name Legaltitan years and years ago.  This is back way before Ed retired.  I've been here since or near the beginning.  Before that I think I used the same name on TOMB.

For years now I have sort of regretted the name because it seems like I am trying to rub being a lawyer in people's faces.  I totally don't feel that way.  I am proud of what I do and I am good at it, but most of my friends are non-lawyers and I certainly don't think myself above anyone because of my profession. 

I guess when I initially chose it I wanted a way to make a name for myself early.  And I was kind of big-headed early in my legal career.  A couple of strikeouts with some high-powered law firms changed that quick.  I'm a better and different person and lawyer than in those days so may years ago.

Anyway, is a name like that super off-putting, such that I should change it to something else?  Or should I live with it given the history around here?

Vote above.  as a good Ombudsman, I will go with the will of the people.

Well no one is really complaining.  Just kind of wwondering about the douche factor.  Im a smartass as it is, don't need a douchey name to go with it.

Nah, I say keep it.  I don't think it sounds douchey anyway.

Now if it was "Solicitortitan" or "Barristertitan," that would sound douchey and I'd have to mock you unmercifully.

But if you get disbarred, we will expect you to change it to: "Illegaltitan," or something along those lines.

Until today, I've never read any comments about it. Especially if the comments are from a person who is oblivious to the fact that there are numerous public sources on Trump's character and shady business practices.

Keep it Legal. Wouldn't know you by any other name. Do you think less of @chef because of his name? It gives more context to background and viewpoint. Also, who gives a shit who looks like a douche around here with bros like @52O fighting the good bro fight and racist fools like @SoylentGreen and @Soxcat making us all look like fucking studs.

No doubt a dig at me. But again, 99% of those 'character sources' turn out to be liberal biased opinions.  And I think LegalTitan should keep his name. A name change doesn't change the character/beliefs of a person.
