That sucks...

Who would your first call be to? My first call would be to Wisniewski...then Osemele...

Mitchell Schwartz then Wisniewski and then Jenkins CB

I would contact 5 players on first day...

Schwartz

Wisniewski

Martin

Matthews

Jenkins

If we somehow signed all 5 of them... The draft is very open for us... Could nab Ramsey in the 1st and BPA after that

We need FA like 06 where we signed 5 starters...

People saying we can't sign 3 starters in FA are ridiculous... A FA like 06 and solid draft could put us in the playoffs next year or fur sure the year after.

This is realistic.  In 2015, we signed Orakpo, Cox, Searcy, and resigned Morgan.  They were all "mid-level" FAs.  No reason they can't spring for 1 or 2 top FA.  Pick up 2-4 mid level guys and sign several cheaper options.

In years past, the Titans typically sat out the first day or two and allowed other teams to throw around Monopoly money.   And personally, I typically agreed with their approach, believing that the highest profile free agents rarely live up to the hype and expectations.  (Personally, I think free agency is way overrated by fans.  For all the discussion and attention it receives, it rarely translates to a significantly better team;  it just gives fans something else to be pissed about.)

But with the wholesale changes the organization has seen in the past year or so (New GM, new coach, relatively new controlling owner, etc).....I have no idea what to expect from them this year.

The only thing I expect is the inevitable first post that questions why we haven't done anything after the first 5 min of the FA have elapsed

whatever happens we need someone who can be a starter at RT within the first couple of days of FA, don't want to be locked into a situation where we simply must take Tunsil with the number 1 pick.

They could draft a RT in round 2 who could be set to start week 1.

wouldn't be devastated if we ended up with Bilal Powell would be a good safety blanket for Mariota catching the ball out of the backfield

couple of other rumours doing the rounds

Jags favourites for Malik Jackson and the Bears for Danny Trevathan

No one said that... don't expect  big name FAs.

Robinson already said the first wave teams overpay

I think they might go after Doug Martin and even that's questionable.

I suspect they'll fill up holes with stop gaps so they have more freedom in the draft

There are too many good Safeties available in FA for the Titans not to walk away with one of them.  There are literally 4-5 quality starters that all could be signed for reasonable contracts with the exception of Weddle who is coming off a huge contract but I think will come down soon.

Harrison makes a lot of sense but he'll be in high demand and will get a big contract.  I'd love to have him but I don't think the Titans will get in a bidding war.

Kearse from Seattle makes a lot of sense to me.

I'm not big on going after a big name RB in FA.  The need is there but i'm not sure you're getting value for your dollars here.  If they do, i'd prefer a Ronnie Hillman or Lamar Miller type signing where they are still young with tread on the tires versus a guy like Doug Martin.  The fact that he hasn't been that great of a player but had a really good year in his contract year is a red flag imo.

At Tackle, there's Okung, Schwartz, Andre Smith, Barksdale, and then several candidates for backup RT.  I would make a run at Schwartz and possibly a Massie/Bell type guy to provide depth but if I can't land Schwartz, it's ok because Tunsil is my pick in the draft anyways.

Jeff Allen is another lineman who is a priority in my mind.  He can play guard and he's also been effective at RT.  He's going to be a decent contract but the Titans need to upgrade the interior of the line and I think this is a good place to do it.  Chris Chester would be a nice consolation prize if you can't land Allen.  He's older but a solid guy and a good run blocker.  Veteran presence on the interior.

I'd love to have Mack or Wisenewski but with all of the other holes on the roster and limited resources I think the Titans will try to survive with Schwenke though I think they might look for another guy in the middle rounds of the draft to eventually supplant him.

At ILB, I like Danny Trevathan.  Solid player coming off a big year but we have a big need at ILB so if the money isn't too much I can see them making a run.  Rolondo McClain, Freeman, and Craig Robertson are all guys worth taking a look at.  There are players here but if there is a run on ILBs it might be best to try and get one in the draft as we have Woodyard and Williamson on the roster.  I'd like to upgrade but with all the other holes, those two are serviceable.

Finally, at CB I expect them to make a splash.  Look for Sean Smith, Casey Hayward, or if Robinson wants to send a message Jenkins.  There's some other good names out there as well and way too many good players for the Titans to not enter the Draft with an already upgraded secondary.

OBVIOUSLY, I know the Titans won't go after all these guys but they are the big names that I expect the Titans to take a look at.  I wouldn't be surprised if they only get one of them, and I wouldn't be surprised if Robinson goes on a spending spree and lands 5 of them.  At this point we really don't know what his strategy will be but I have to admit i'm stoked to find out!
