It was nuts. The guys still a great athlete, has a big arm, and is accurate. But he has the worst pocket presence I've ever seen in my life, and the offense just can't sustain itself like that. socaltitan Posted August 21, 2015 Report Share Posted August 21, 2015 Gruden's in an unenviable situation. If you try to make RG3 a pocket passer, he can't do it with enough consistency. But if you try to make him a running QB like his rookie year, he can't run like he used to and I don't think his body can sustain that amount of punishment. Several times during the game, multiple Washington commentators said RGIII went through concussion protocol and said he was cleared and did not have a concussion. I said that due to RG3's injury Colt McCoy would get a chance to start. Somebody else said Cousins was the #2 and Schefter made some dumb remark like "It's hard to keep up with back-up QBs.
