Will the Titans trade out of the second overall pick and, if not, who will they take? Who should they take? Is there fire to all of this Mariota smoke billowing from Nashville?

Great podcast

Allbright's past success on reporting and his "sources" on the Titans make me feel much better about what the Titans are doing.

The one wildcard on all this is what ownership is saying about the #2. Someone could easily force the front office to take a QB.

I can't listen to the whole thing, what was the main thrust, he doesn't buy us picking MM at all?

He said he had sources that told him Winston was their #1 prospect and MM wasn't in their top 5. He said he's heard from some teams Mariota isn't even a top 20 prospect and he doesn't buy the Titans are really interested in him and it's a smokescreen

Wow, interesting. Everybody laughed at him yesterday when he had us picking Leonard Williams & MM not going in the top 5. If this, or something close to it, happens we'll all owe him an apology.

FWIW it's not that rare at all that QB's are totally overrated & then plummet. We all remember Rodgers & Quinn but nobody thought Leinart would make it to 10. Even Manziel last year wasn't supposed to drop like he did. But once 1 or 2 "QB needy" teams pass it's like a domino effect.

I agree with a ton of what Albright says, especially the bit about not drafting a QB just because one's there.

This is quality stuff guys, thanks for working to get this done.

He also said Winston was their #1 guy and they would pick him in a heartbeat FWIW

Allbright's opinion of Mett is pretty weak to me, and it appears maybe he only really has some box score ammo here. Beckham couldn't produce with Mett? 59 receptions his Sr year for 1152 yards, 8 TD's and a huge 19.5 avg is not producing? Landry had 77 catches for 1193, 10 TD's, and a 15.5 ypc. These YPC's are 5-6 yards better than what they did in their rookie years in the NFL.

And the bigger point as far as any passing or receiving stats go is LSU was very run heavy, running 62% of the time. Beyond the #'s, if you saw Mett at LSU, you saw the talent. To top it off, he throws Eli Manning under the bus like he's dog shit, a guy who regularly puts up #'s.

I just started listening and had to pause to get this thought out, even if it is more of a minor point. Hopefully it gets better ;)
