-Ultra-
I would be more than ok with a trade for Rivers as long as it is not just for the 2nd pick straight up. The main reason I say this is due to my lack of faith that our FO can select the next face of the franchise QB in the first round this or any year. Face
What is so intriguing about a Rivers trade, besides massively improving the team, is for the first time in eons we can see top shelf QB play, see an offensive system be run the way it was meant to be. Watch a real, premier offense. I watched the Chargers a bunch in Wiz's one year there & it was beautiful man. Now, I think there's a good chance Mett can, or maybe even is, there, but I know Rivers is, right now. Id keep Mett & have him take over down the road. I forget who I was speaking to about this a while ago, I think it was Scine but I may be wrong, either way we were talking about, in spite of Fitz's shortcomings, it was such a breath of fresh air when he took over for Locker. We finally had a semblance of a complex, NFL passing game. Spread formations, quick passes, going through reads, etc. It was so much more enjoyable to watch. titansfan
I like Rivers. He's a very passionate player and has quite the arm. Having Mett or a rook develop behind him a few years would be awesome. And he would make us an instant wildcard contender. Mett would leave this team at first chance
luvyablue256
Which is why I like the idea of Cutler. You could conceivably get him and still get a difference maker at #7. Please stop with the Cutler trolling.
japan
Mett would leave this team at first chance When would that be?
luvyablue256
When would that be? We'd probably get a few trade offers.
Face
Guys, Reo's not saying to mortgage the future & go all in on Cutler. The point is, we're apparently talking to all these teams about trading down so if the Bears offer the same package of picks & throw in Cutler to get him off the books, he could be a guy that might interest Whisenhunt

Face
Reo has had a hard on for Cutler for years. Don't be fooled. Yeah he's definitely over the top, he's the only one whose still going on about the guy lol. But he does make some sense, if you can get multiple 1st's & they throw in Cutler, I can see Wiz viewing him as an interesting reclamation project, he still has great traits. Most importantly the downside is nil, you cut him & turn back to Mett. As for myself, though I'm higher on Cutler than most here, in my mind it's Mett, Winston, Mariota, or Rivers. Anything else is moving backwards.

titansfb
@Michael Gehlken @UTgehlken · 3h 3 hours ago Change of plans. Chargers headed to Eugene now, will dine with Marcus Mariota tonight, work out QB tomorrow: http://utsd.us/1zb46Vw   Workout moved from Wednesday to Tuesday.  Not sure if this means anything more.
cenj
I don't want them to throw in Cutler. He's literally the most expensive contract in the NFL. And he's a total bum. Â Think about it: you could have Ndmukong Suh, the most expensive FA this year, or Cutler. You don't waste trade value on a bad QB who costs $127 million. Chicago would have to give picks away to get another team to take Cutler -- that's how ridiculous the contract is. Â Acting like it's some simple restructure deal is hilarious. He's got a dead cap hit of $29.5M for 2015. He's uncuttable and has no incentive to lower his value this year, especially not for an even worse NFL team. IsntLifeFunny
His contract is an albatross on any team willing to take it. The Bears would have to offer 3 first rounders and other picks to be in consideration if they want to dump him.
