Bongo59
I think Williams is going to be a guy........nothing special especially in a LeBeau 3/4. You spend the money and picks on OLB in this scheme. TN needs one more. I also think 55 is going to benefit huge in this scheme.......5 techniques are a dime a dozen. Pitts always found these guys for next too nothing because they are anchors in short distance.......they dont need explosion. The NT is a way bigger deal. The kid from UW is a better match for this 3/4 than LW.
OILERMAN
I'm mixed on Williams and have some fears about him and also like the idea of trading back and taking an edge rusher and more picks
OILERMAN
I've noticed that Webster really doesn't like good QBs, pass rushers or pass protecting OL so who knows what he might do!
Bulluck4dmvp
I'm still on the Fowler train - although it's tougher to see with both Orakpo and Morgan on board.
TeamRamrod
Some info from my dude Benjamin Allbright. He's nailed everything he's predicted/heard so far this off season Every single NFL scout/personnel guy I've talked to is convinced Leonard Williams goes #2 overall in the draft. — Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) April 6, 2015
tgo
Where's the Mettenberger "deal with it" gif? I have need of it.
begooode
I just caught Kollmann's breakdown of Gregory and he stressed a technique used by Nebraska's run-first defense that made for a 'slow takeoff' when evaluating prospects -- essentially reading & reacting to the OLineman's first step. Perhaps this same issue is in play when watching Williams's game film?
Bobo
Where's the Mettenberger "deal with it" gif? I have need of it. My old laptop died so I don't have the ones I made. And the last time I looked the website that I used to make them had changed up somehow so that I couldn't get it to work anymore, don't remember exactly why. Made just try googling "deal with it gif maker", and try to make your own. Or you could get Jonboy on the case!
Mythos27
The fact that when he's primarily pass rushing, Leonard Williams is every bit as explosive as anyone is more than enough to override the talk about his slow get-off.
tgo
@Jonboy We need to get the Mettenberger "deal with it" gif ready for draft day just in case.
Bongo59
I'll be honest........I'd wait til draft day and see who is really interested.........and then I would decide between Mariotta and the OLB I want. Once you take Mariotta, like SD did with Manning, then the teams who want him will have to deal with you. You can then get them to draft your OLB with one of their picks. IT was the one smart play AJ Smith did during his time in SD. TN does not have the balls to do it.......but I think Cleveland, NY, and STL would pay up for this. Bongo59
I think LW is another Tyson Jackson........bum DE in the top 5. You just cant waster a top 5 pick on a 5 technique........makes no sense. I would be perfectly OK with them taking Beasley at 2. I dont like Fowler or Ray.....in the top ten. I like them later. ctm
.....rookie salary cap could be a problem for the team that acquires MM in a post selection trade.
Bongo59
No it wont be. There is no cap issue until they sign a deal.
