OILERMAN
Down... Damn you! I was literally coming to post this exact answer! Rooster Cogburn: I always go backwards when I'm backing up.
Face
I know you weren't talking to me but that's exactly what worries me about him. He just seems stiff and plays too high for his height. I have similar issues with Kikaha though Kikaha actually has a second pass rush move after he's initially stopped. Yeah I know that's his big issue. On the other hand the guy is just so fast & explosive, his burst is awesome. And his motor never stops. I saw one report that said he reminded him of Derrick Thomas, underdeveloped pass rush moves but he's just so fast he can just run around OT's. Face
We aren't trading down. PK disagrees with you. There's a bunch of things you have to factor in here...how good an offer we get? How much more we like Williams than the next few guys? If the Jets, for example, offer us next years 1st we have to consider it. Strongly.
luvyablue256
If we trade down, this entire draft runs the risk of being a complete bust.

TeamRamrod
You're not a big Ray guy, what don't you like? Little too straight linish? Just don't think his skillset translates as well. Don't see a lot of flexibility or power in his game.
Nash
Another trade option might be Chicago.. Fox might be interested in moving past Cutler.. so maybe a market is developing for Marriota
Jd8
The more I think about this draft the more convinced I am that we will trade down, it really makes a lot of sense. Winston & MM are good QB prospects & as usual a bunch of teams need a QB. Let's assume we do trade down, let's say with the Jets. There's a few options here but the odds are we pick Shelton, an OLB, or an outside chance of WR. I think it'll come down to Ray or Shelton & I love both of these kids. Ray is exactly the type of OLB LeBeau has had success with, he's on the smaller side & he's blazing fast. He also has pretty good upper body bulk & strength. I think Id take Shelton though, this kid is an absolute monster. He's 6'2 340 & can move, he's a great athlete for his size. He's immovable but he can also shoot the gaps. Of course we'd have to see what we do in FA but I'm just curious how you guys are leaning right now. NT is tremendously important in LeBeau's system & a true, dominant nose is rare, they're tough to find. I agree 89 tackles 17 TFL and 9.5 sacks is unbelievable for a 340 pound nose tackle. Shelton has a non stop motor also the guy even at his size runs sideline to sideline chasing ball carriers.
luvyablue256
What direction do we go in if we trade down? A quick, swirly descent toward the sewer.
HOTT
At the point I'm strong for trading down. This team needs way more than one guy to turn things around. I'd guess that the Jets would be the most likely trading partner. By moving back to 6th, the Titans are likely to get a player who would be in the top 3 or 4 on their board plus other premium picks. I can't see them taking a QB high since they seem to favor Mettenberger for the future. I admit he's looking way stronger than I thought he might. Maybe they have pulled a rabbit out of the hat. Kirkster
Yeah Hott, that's where I am at too. The jets would be the perfect spot. Webster just blew a smokescreen hard at the combine. My feelings have been all along that we are going with Mett. Fowler, Gregory, Cooper and Williams. One or maybe two of those guys will be there at 6, + we get a bunch of extra picks. If it's an option it's the way to go for sure.
