freakingeek
Read the comments after the article. ONE guy took up for CJ blaming the Oline and lack of QB for his non-production. The rest of the posters feel like we do.
OILERMAN
I agree with CJ and Andrew Brandt, the Totans purposely stuck it to him But I also think he did about as well as he could have even if he got released sooner He propably thinks he could have gotten another monster contract
AFCman
You would think a big brained Mensa guy like yourself would easily be able to figure out what he was asking you to prove. I didn't say I was a member of mensa, only that I am ugly enough to be a member of mensa. LOL.
AFCman
I think the Titans didn't stick it to CJ enough. I wish they could have kept him until the start of the season.
cenj
If the Titans did purposely stick it to CJ (which I have no idea if true), then it's another idiot move by Webster. Webster had every opportunity to cut ties with CJ and move on, but he kept him on the roster and backed the guy. If you are so bitter you want to purposely screw your own player, then why on earth would you keep him around so long in the first place?
IsntLifeFunny
I doubt the move was to purposefully get over on CJ. Of course they could have done him a solid and cut him at the start of FA, but they paid him enough over the past few years to deserve the right to try and get something for him in a trade. Jamalisms
I always figured CJs camp played a role in trying to wait on a trade so he could keep his $. Apparently not. I'd have to assume the Titans aren't so lame as to screw players without cause. That sort of thing comes back around. More likely they thought they could get something (the cause) and just kept waiting.

But I still think, if true of course, that it was a petty & amateur move & unfortunately this isn't the only one. Webster also ran back to Verner with his tail between his legs begging him to come back after totally ignoring him because he completely misjudged his market value. Maybe I'm putting too much stock into this stuff but it makes me wonder about the competency of the FO, I just don't think you'd see a top FO doing these types of things. MadMax
How about this.... Who cares? CJ made his own bed. I'm glad he's in New York.

Not saying I think it to be true, but you (or Webster) could make the argument that if he (Webster) was delusional enough about CJ to get him that contract in the 1st place, and then not cut him previously, he might very well with a straight face say that he truly believed he'd get an attractive trade offer on the table before the deadline to purge. Denali
CJ is unhappy about the way the Titans treated him on his way out. This is outstanding news. Mission accomplished! Kudos to the Titans FO for sticking it to him in such a way that he had to notice and couldn't deny it.
AFCman
Who predicted that CJ would be running his mouth? THIS guy. Has he taken to twitter yet?
AFCman
I hope the Titans do him dirty when his ass gets back to Nashville. I hope we knock the hell out of him on every play whether he has the ball or not. I would put 3 of our biggest dudes on him, regardless of what the play is. I just think Webster stuck with him the last two off seasons and even made a fool of himself saying CJ was blameless, as well as likely arguing against cutting him like Munchak wanted to do last off season he was pretty pissed in the end. Maybe he thinks CJ half-assed it. Plus the comments CJ made after the season probably pissed Webster off as well. The problem was he wasn't getting the ball enough! If Webster thought he was going to get something for CJ in a trade then he's a way bigger idiot than I thought.

Like I said, I doubt he actually thought that, but at least he would have been consistently delusional from beginning to end.
