CharrdWood
That was a great trade for the Texans I don't remember what they gave up and I'm not sure if you're serious or not, but he was definitely serviceable until the wheels came off last season. At least there's no clear franchise QB in this draft now that they're picking first!

Yes I'm serious, they gave up like a 2 and 3 if memory serves Schaub was a quality starter was several years and for most of those years were not the reason the Texans didn't win
abenjami
That was more a success than a failure wasn't it? That was a great trade for the Texans Not in my book. Wasn't the result 7 years with only 1 playoff appearance? If they don't make that deal, they probably end up with Matt Ryan or Joe Flacco the next year and keep the picks they traded away. freakingeek
The fact that the Patroits traded him says alot, must not be worth keeping Belichick is the king of getting great draft picks for guys that are expendable to him. He'd trade his grandmother for a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Jamalisms
I wouldn't even say it's close. I'm surprised others don't agree. One of those things I didn't expect.
OILERMAN
The joke was on Atlanta who kept Vick and traded Schaub away
abenjami
Schaub was a decent starter. That's it. He was never an all pro or considered a top 5 guy. The guy made 2 pro bowls. So did Vince Young. 7 years, one playoff appearance. If you trade for a QB, you are saying this guy is going to be able to stand out and take us places. He didn't. That's a failure in my book. scine09
I always thought that Schaub was more of a system guy and a benefactor of Andre Johnson and the great running game that Houston had. He could never carry the team.
Face
I get that we hate the Texans & all that but has anyone looked at the guy's numbers? This talk that it was a mistake to trade him is insane. It was a brilliant trade, the guy put up ratings of 87, 93,98,92,97, and 90 before last years disaster. He was a probowl level QB & if we had him in '07 & '08 God knows how good we would have been. volntitan
Based on what is Mallet better than Fitz? He has throw 4 NFL passes in his career. Completed 1....well 2, if you count that one was an int.
headhunter
Mallet is the best cocaine snorter in the NFL, hands down
