JLocker10
So the Texans got a B..they did not sign anyone and lost multiple players...uh ok They've lost Schaub, Tate, Daniels, Wade Smith, Antonio Smith, Earl Mitchell, Daniel Manning. They've signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and that's about it. Good enough to get a B lol
OILERMAN
Remember last off season when people got mad they got a bad grade and then they sucked?
Face
I may be in the minority but I think Phillips really improved our FA class. Guys had 19 sacks the last 2 years, that's nothing to shake a stick at. I bet he has 10 or so sacks again this year.
Jamalisms
Last year's FAs were a decent batch and will continue paying dividends. It is still a terrible grade one year later.
SuperFreak90
Harder to disagree this year than last. There was a clearer plan last year and FA moves fit it well. And we'll probably win more games this year than last.
bostontitan
Its funny with this dumb grades stuff ...WOW BRONCOS DID THIS .....A.. Yea i want to know where is all this magic money is coming from ... So what ......all that is,is fantasy football .. On paper that all looks pretty but until they all play together .Who knows... They all complain who we got ,NOBODY EVEN KNOWS WHAT SYSTEM WE ARE RUNNING OR WHO FITS WHERE.... So they gave us a bad grade when they dont even know how or where the guys we have are gonna fit .. freakingeek
We didn't overspend like we did last year. I'm hoping we'll reap the benefits of that over spending this year with a healthy Levitre and Green. We didn't have any big sexy splash signings but we filled holes with better players than we had which really opens the door for us to have a great draft. Fill holes through FA and build a team through the draft. No it wasn't a sexy but Rome wasn't built in day. The Whitehurt signing is the big head scratcher and not trying harder to keep Verner are my two complaints.
StephenIsLegend
I personally like what we did. But, not everyone can like what's goin on.
OILERMAN
I actually like their approach, they filled holes with cheap vets, avoided big money free agents and have dropped dead weight
Number9
Wait and see. The moves get examined every year, then they play the games. Lately, the Titans have just threaded water. Sure they don't overspend, but they also do not get a huge bang for their buck. Letting Verner get away when he said PUBLICLY before free agency he was not going to try to break the bank was pitiful. I do not see any evidence that these moves will keep the Titans trailing the Colts. If Houston rebounds, then we are back fighting it out with Jacksonville to stay out of the cellar. Face
I liked what we did as well. Like OMan has said, cheap vets on very short deals tend to pay off because they have a lot to play for. I also think they just get overlooked due to their age. Shaun Phillips has been sacking QBs for a long time, at a high clip. To get him at $2 mil next year is an absolute steal. My one complaint is I would have signed Donald Brown over McCluster. He actually got paid less, will offer just as much in the passing game, and will give more productive carries. But overall Im happy.
luvyablue256
Oddly enough, the changeover to a 3-4 has made certain defensive players dispensable. We'll likely still have more holes to fill after the draft.
JLocker10
Donald Brown can't return though unlike McCluster. He's also injury prone.
