All that I could think when I was watching that is that I hope that we were seeing the first glimpses of what Loggains has in store this season or that he had figured it out. Time will tell but it was very encouraging.

I don't think we really know what we have in Loggains...this is really his first shot at being an OC...I don't think you can write much into last year.

A good young OC and a developing young QB,  would be nice to see them click.

Really wanna see Jake stay healthy for a couple years and get a good opportunity to become winning QB.

Good post, offense seems kindof similar to Ravens and Seahawks

This was a nice read, reminded me why I came to this forum other than the trolling.

The biggest thing I'm worried about sans next season is if our offense excels with Loggains system and we lose him for a head coaching gig.

I don't think we'd have a ton to worry about based on one year. I think if Munchak is back next year, so is Loggains.

As bad as QJ is, what has Mooney really done to earn the FB spot?

His first accomplishment was being someone not named Quinn Johnson. But seriously, I just think he's just better. He moves very well for a FB, gets to blocks quickly, gets in to position to block very well, has great leverage, and I he can offer more as a receiver or even runner than QJ (Mooney was a quick, powerful runner in college). He's not a mauling blocker, but overall I think he offers more than QJ.

I'm not sure I've seen enough to know either way, but based on memory, I feel like Mooney moves better in space. He seems to get to his spot quicker and just looks more fluid adjusting in traffic. He did totally whiff on one block, and he knew it immediately. QJ has never looked very good to me, and I wonder how he will fare in this heavily-counter and misdirection based running scheme.

If Mooney does win the job, it certainly makes the Battle debate interesting. That would be 4 of the RB that are bruisers only (Mooney can carry the rock in a pinch, unlike QJ), but none with speed or return ability. Seeing how the WRs, especially Preston, are doing well, it makes keeping Battle tough -- even if he has been much better than Reynaud running.
