Sure, if you say so.  I thought it seemed a pretty cut and dry stat comparison.  No real context.   Take whatever meaning you want..

I just came across it as I sit here on a conference call and thought some would want to read it. I didn't look very closely at it.

While there are obvious scheme and personnel differences (AKA: context) that isn't taken into consideration, I think it does show that Locker shouldn't already be written off, despite the best efforts of Tim, CMJ, and others.

2014 will be a better time to compare Luck and Locker but if you can't see that Luck is obviously a better QB at this point in their careers, you're not watching too closely. This is one comparison where stats don't mean shit. I personally believe that Locker will become a good NFL QB but I also think Luck could potentially be better than either Manning.

You picked a bad place to post this article, even though nearly 100% of the posters on this board think Locker's injury affected his game.

But most of those posters also thought he wasn't that good before the injury anyway.

From the title of this thread, I thought it was going to be a "complete the sentence" type of thing as in "Locker and Luck ... don't belong in the same sentence, except to say that Luck is way better than Locker."  I mean, let's be real here.  He has been disappointing so far to say the least.  I hope he can turn things around, but with the coaching staff he tried to learn from so far, and the current coaching staff there now, the odds are against it.

Locker has trouble with pre and post snap reads. He has trouble manipulating the defense with his eyes. He also has trouble moving in the pocket to buy time for his receivers. Luck has those four things in spades.

I will say that I'm tired of hearing how complicated Luck's system was, especially when comparing him to Locker. Palmer had Jake in one of the most complex systems ever known to football. When four of your receivers have four different routes they can choose, all being dictated by coverage, that's tough for anyone. Locker's system was easily more complex than what Luck faced as a rookie.
