I'm wasnt comparing those two as much as saying the draft/ money argument in regards to RBs doesnt make sense for us specifically because we were already paying a guy that much. Also, i said 4 years out... like the year you re-sign these guys. Any starter you are paying after like 15th for cap hit feels like pretty decent value. 30th or later and its fantastic so becomes pretty much the same for me regardless of position. Its the huge contracts hurting the team and Highly pair RBs still arent getting huge contracts. But if you want to compare, to right before they sign their next contracts, Yes, he will be way further down the list than love. Tate's next one though will also be likely 3x Love's... that's why some people have the argument for truly elite RBs - that maybe its OK to draft a RB high and use them up as they very likely may only be elite for one more contract (if that) and after that 2nd contract will still be cheap compared to other positions.

It all depends on what money argument we want to go with. cap hit, total salary, cash, etc. He's 10th now. in 4 years I could easily see 20 extra costing more actual cap than him.

While I agree in principle and that its better value from the WR... Love's cap hit is almost the exact same as Pollards this year. The money argument for him doesn't really hold water for us when we are paying a worse player the same amount. Love will be making more in the future, sure.. but he will be 30 or more guys ahead of him once it's time to re-sign.

35-40k tickets were claimed but we had a monsoon about 40 minutes before practice started and the weather said it was going to lightening and rain .... So people backed out. The team also charged for parking For the free event ... but you could only park if you are a season ticket holder. All the other parking was like $40 turned people off.

Intentional sabotage of your players when you are supposed to be a leader and coach is evil IMO. Its a position of power that is associated with help the growth and development as both players and humans. Doing the opposite is against like every reason good coaches become coaches. Fisher was outed as a laughing stock to all nfl fans and still is. 8/8, 7/9, and 8/9 have all been laughed at as jeff fisher day for a decade now. VY wasnt innocent.. no one said that. The hyperbole is wild here and always has been. But he did attempt to turn his shit around and was literally actively plotted against. No one is relieving him of being a bad QB and a dumbass, no one is saying he's an angel and is not at fault for his own actions... but I choose to stay off the side of the politician and manipulator that actively wasted almost half a decade here with his petty bullshit... and I will always remind people here that he's a smarmy power-hungry politician.

The coach still has to do the job the owner paid him and told him to do. His hubris and denial of his job description destroyed him and eventually led to him becoming a league laughing stock. This all could have easily still played out with VY gone after 4-5 years and Fisher still coaching if he was just doing his paid for job rather than fluffing his own ego.

That suicide story came purely from Fishers mouth who never wanted him there in the first place, a marketing guy, and the scene the created where they got a camera guy to hide in the bushes. Meanwhile Fisher is silent and grinning at VY as VY is asking what the hell is going on and why there are cops talking to him like a hostage situation. VY just had a dead cellphone in 2008 when it was normal to not be on call 24/7.

This is why we needed to pony up money early for OL depth and competition. And by early, I mean even like a week ago. Now everyone is getting hurt and the few decent options left at the bottom of the barrel are going to be gone.

He still went in and played though, yeah? There's a divide here between people that realized he was immature and needed to be handled a certain way and those who gave up when they saw that. There's also a version of VY pre and post the "incident" that got him benched to sit and learn for a season and a half... there may also be a version of Jeff that was actually attempting to help him to the version that told reporters where to hide in the woods to film his (to VY "made up") lowest moment. People love a comeback story.. Life isnt about who you were, its who you become. VY sat the bench and worked and came back a better player. He was by far the better QB the last 2 seasons here and was held out or sabotaged because of spite. I'm glad they are both gone but I will always say that Fisher should have been the bigger man and done his job as paid for, his pettiness destroyed the team and eventually his career arch. Vy was the Better QB of the two and did work hard to come back. Whether you think he deserved a second chance or not is another story. I think everyone does.

Teams should never take on project players in the first 3 rounds. They never have enough patience to actually complete the project when a guy is drafted that high and fans are clamoring for the talent. You need a stable structure in place for the duration of the proposed development period. It never works out... and if you have a stable structure, you are drafting players high to win now rather than in 3 years. You probably just shouldnt draft project players at all. 4th round and later, there's not enough invested to justify continuing the project.. mayybe a late round QB. We had this discussion earlier and its hard to think of any actual project player that has worked out. The closest was Kearse but he was an all-american doing a swap that players do all the time. Richardson was never going to be good but he wasn't supposed to play at all for 2-3 years. Same with Malik Willis and VY here. Malik is now starting for a team - will likely be a disaster but he improved within the time period the team said and we never got value from it. Dont draft projects. It's stupid.
