While I don’t love trading him, let’s look at the facts: 1) Robinson has paid players he felt made the team better and earned another deal (Lewan, Landry, Byard, etc.) 2) AJ Brown had a shit ton of focus drops last year 3) AJ Brown is extremely talented, but has missed some games every year 4) AJ Brown tweeted things like an immature teenager constantly before quickly deleting and the passive aggressive behavior I’m sure was getting under the Titans skin. 5) We got good value for the pick and ultimately, we got a very early 3rd flipping the 101 acquired in this deal when we made the Jets deal. 6) Vrabel and Robinson clearly had affection for AJ. There is more that we don’t know, especially when we have a history under this regime of paying those worthy of another deal
