I don’t live in TN or follow Nashville politics these days. Mendes has been generous with my family for years, though, preceding his involvement in electoral politics. What’s his reputation in Nashville?

Titans Hire Chad Brinker from Packers as Asst GM
titaninpgh replied to tgo's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
For the few folks who thought Carthon was a diversity hire, can we get just a lil indignation that they hired a white guy without proving to us that he was the best man for the job? I demand to know the racial composition of their asst GM interview pool so I can ascertain whether they gave enough white guys a chance!! -

What is a Cleveland-like model? -
Zierlein is saying he watched all the tape and wrote his review on a potential top 5 pick…. In one day?

He’s also clearly now shadow banning some journalists who cover him negatively…. One of the exact things his “Twitter files” supposedly exposed the prior management group of doing.

Somehow I feel like this all ends with Peter Thiel owning Twitter.

I’m already feeling nauseous about the over the top country music theme at the 2028 Nashville super bowl

This second Williams pass is outrageous. I’d be half mad if my QB threw it, even if it was magically completed.

What is “three yards and a cloud of dust” but on turf where there is no dust? Feels like the Titans are sacrificing their decades-long identity.

The Raiders stadium financing offers an example of what happens if the hotel tax doesn’t produce the expected revenue: https://www.reviewjournal.com/business/stadium/allegiant-stadium-room-tax-revenue-lagging-behind-needed-amount-2259135/ Much less likely to be an issue now without covid impeding travel.

SoFi and MetLife stadiums were built entirely with private funds. It can be done, but only by the richest owners and in cities where the event potential makes it worth the private cost. Cost of land donation, subsequent tax breaks, and surrounding infrastructure improvements paid for by cities admittedly complicate the math for these. 49ers and Falcons stadium were both built recently with <$220M in public funds. Lucas Oil Stadium was an atrocious deal for Indiana residents.

How is it viable to build a new NFL stadium with only 55-60k seats??

Takeaways from Eddie Berlin’s LinkedIn (my go-to for where-are-they-now for bit players): 1) Titans need to get that flaming thumbtack logo on LinkedIn 2) “nationally televised audiences on a weekly basis”…. Resume fraud alert!!! -
Round 5, Pick #163 WR Kyle Phillips UCLA

My grandma was Eddie Berlin’s teacher in elementary school in Iowa. She’d be ashamed of me for forgetting him as a comparison. -

Big Brandon Stokely, Steve Largent, Ed McCaffrey, and Lance Allworth energy from this guy. Shit maybe even a bit of Riley Cooper in him. -
Round 5, Pick #163 WR Kyle Phillips UCLA

Kupp is 3 inches taller than Phillips. So strange that he’s the comparison people keep making. There’s a deep lineage of Pats receivers to compare him to instead. -
Jonnu Smith is the TE version of "Beast Mode"
titaninpgh replied to OILERMAN's topic in Titans and NFL Talk
It seems like Firkser gets the deep routes, and Smith plays more underneath. Smith was replaced by Firkser on one third down that I recall. Honestly, Tannehill doesn't look to Smith much, except on the last drive today. -

Jonnu has a bright future, but it’s still a travesty that we picked him over Kittle.
