luvyablue256
Everyone who thought he was just a money get needs to get their asses in here and apologize, beg for mercy, and admit I was right. http://blogs.tennessean.com/titans/2013/01/01/so-why-did-bud-adams-fire-mike-reinfeldt/ "In the days leading up to Adams going public with his interest in Manning, he repeatedly told Reinfeldt he wanted the Titans to get in the mix. As senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, Reinfeldt was in communication with the 89-year-old Adams on a regular basis." He didn't tell Ruston Webster. He told REINFELDT. Mike Reinfeldt was the lazy goof holding back this franchise. "I think one of the biggest reasons Reinfeldt is out the door is because of something else: Adams felt like Reinfeldt didn’t act fast enough – or at all — when the owner told him he wanted the Titans in the Peyton Manning chase last spring." Not Webster. Not Munchak. Reinfeldt. It's ok to admit it. MR was content with settling with HIS little pet project decisions. Your OWNER saw an opportunity to be BETTER in 2012 but MR wasn't. Bud just did us all a huge favor by spotlighting MR's ineptitude.
Stan
I could see in Reinfeldt's face last year when Manning was here that he didn't do everything in his power to get him here, I still believe Manning didn't come here because of him. Calico
What's up with all these "I told you so" threads... Really pretentious. Hello Pot, meet Kettle. Funny because you always did this after something happened, making so many vague assumptions like Bongo at times.........................
earlers
Love Bud. Now I don't feel sorry for Reinfeldt. Those guys had to be ordered to go after Manning. I always thought it was a half ass attempt.

oldschool
I'll eat crow as I truly didn't think he was anything more than a financial guy in his role.
NewsToTom
Regardless of Reinfeldt's attitude, Peyton wasn't coming here unless he felt he absolutely had to tie his playing career with his post-playing future, which he had absolutely no reason to do. Bluth
Can you blame MR though? I know Jake didn't really pan out this season but didn't going after Manning even if late, keep us from signing a decent vet center and other key positions? Maybe I'm just making excuses but whatever guy is gone now.
Nash
Still don't believe Manning would have come here.. Denver had a decent upcoming defense, some olinemen, and a commitment to change course with removing Tebow from the equation.. plus a younger owner Manning could play golf and ski with.. We could easily court Manning and 2 or 3 other guys at the same time. Reinfeldt didn't *want* to because he figured his offseason plan would suffice. OILERMAN
Bud can fire whoever he wants but Peyton Manning was not coming here. The Titans were in the mix and any late start on him is not why Manning chose Denver.
earlers
Yea looks like a great owner was kept down by the guy he put in charge bud only liked him because he was an Oiler. He should have fired him after he didn't get Peyton. If he gave 100% and Peyton didn't come then that's ok. But if he gave 50% then he should be axed.
