The coaches didn't just look at the pick and put them on locker, they figured out the real reasons. That's analyses and its a whole hell of a lot more helpful than just looking at end results which is useless. Hell VY was an awesome QB if you only look at end results. Too bad those end results are a lot more complicated than that. Analyze away. Every play, thanks. Oh, you don't do that either and in fact nobody does? Then give this shit a rest. He could have gained experience as well as learned whatever it is he might have learned while sitting. It is his job after all. Starting him last season could have only benefited the Titans. 1) Locker proves he isn't ready to be an NFL starter & midway through this season we realize it's time to move on from the Locker experiment and look for his replacement in the draft. 2) Locker takes the next step and this season he is where he should be as a 2nd year starter in the NFL. As it is now, Munch is going into next season as a lame duck & locker will be applying the experience from this season that he should have already applied to this season. from his rookie year, while facing the possibility of having a new HC. Locker had issues with his footwork that caused many passes to sail high without pressure. That looks improved and would have been difficult to work on while on the run and learning live action nfl Qb. Did he "need" that year ? Well never know. But it's possible. Very fair point, but I believe if you have to take a QB in the 1st round that has to be sat his rookie year to learn to work on mechanics, then you took the wrong QB at the wrong spot. I at least give it a shot at trying to figure out reasons for poor play instead of just dismissing any good b/c the drive ended in a FG. It's like most of are over here trying to discuss his development while considering the good and the bad and then you pop in w/ "this shows he played bad" while we smile and nod and continue w/ the deeper conversation. He is in a battle to take his team to the playoffs again. Dalton is on the same level as Matt Ryan was for the Falcons early on when he was drafted as a rookie or Joe Flacco has been for the Ravens when he was drafted.
