He showed enough in the first half to make you believe he can develop into a good QB. I also believe the play calling let him down again today. I am not on the Locker bandwagon and i see positives and negatives. I dont see anything any different than most people with less than a full season of starts. His mistakes are just made at the absolute worst time. I agree but the fact remains he is better outside the pocket than he he is it and he makes terrible decisions when the game us on the line. He's a young QB who was going to be a project -- everyone knew that. But let's be honest about his play right now. He's got a long ways to go. scine09 Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Share Posted December 9, 2012 It's not all about stats. Ponder's been under a ton of heat in Minnesota. There have been calls to bench him. And Tannehill has been getting progressively worse as the season has gone on. I think locker also has a lot more responsibility than the other two. if given the choice between the 3 I'd take Locker. The entire country will be watching so I would say that that's pressure regardless of the game situation. Coming off the game today I think it's a good thing that he will be on national TV next week. Then you call someone a homer because they understand the basic fact that it takes a few years to know if your QB is going to work out or not. Then you go on about how its his second season, completely negating his starts as if starts mean nothing in the NFL. I am well aware of Locker sucking today when we needed him to step up. However one game, and one season does not define a players outcome. If you werent trying to put words into my mouth, then no, I am not saying its ok. Ive already stated my opinion on the rest of it in the thread and theres no reason to repeat myself, however I will one more time. Its too early to call him a bust, a choker, a playmaker, or anything else. Hes a young QB who struggles. After next season, I may be on the bandwagon with you, just not yet.
