I think I was somewhat perturbed at the time, and I mock it from time to time, but it's never been that big of a deal. Your real beef was Fisher not trotting VY out there? The QB is always the first place unless he's good and no KFC was not good. He may not have been blatant terrible, but that's not saying much. The fact of the matter is that the team kept Vince Young. If that was out of Fisher's control and he didn't like it, that's when you move aside. He stayed, so play with the cards you are dealt. KFC wasn't the entire problem on that team, it was a combination of many things... but guess what - He wasn't the answer either. Sound familiar? The reasoning has nothing to do with Vince Young. He only comes up because Fisher lost the power struggle with the owner. Well, he lost. Get over it. When you go away from KFC, you will turn to Vince Young. That's reality, and when a coach is so completely at odds with an owner and it inhibits his ability to make needed changes on the team for fear of using players he has no interest in using - Fuck yes it is time to move on. Fisher can be justified in not liking Vince all he wants, but Bud hasn't died yet so Fisher's insistence on his opinion was only creating more stress and bullshit for the team. And, yes, 0-6 was also a big ass part of my comment... but ignore that all you want. I know it hurts some of your sphincters to discuss his failures as a coach. tinman Posted September 8, 2012 Report Share Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) We started 0-5 that year because our defense was a MASH unit and we couldn't stop anyone from scoring as well as a pretty brutal first 6 games.. You guys act like we were blown out.. We lost by less than a TD in most of them. Our Defense was the last unit on the field in several.. Collins was not bad or the problem.. They have limited tape of Locker, and since then we have upgraded the offense significantly... They have an idea for how to scheme against Jake and if it doesn't work, then Jake will be able to abuse them.
